ok coulld not resist the stabiliser question. a few years back i had an Alfa-romeo Milano that sat for 2.5 years ,hooked the battery jumper ,it started at the quarter turn!!! just premium gas.

, drove it for another 2 years until some crazed idiot totaled it on new years eve .

Was the gasoline in the Alfa by chance Texaco Premium??? Texaco adds Techron to all their gasoline products and why not - it's their product...
I'm sensing some madness to my anticipated actions.
Techron doesn't appear to be increasing the octane of the 87 regular I always use because BP nor Mobil Premium ever made a difference to the idle drop issue on its own sans Techron. And I have no local Texaco's 'round here.
So, that's why I'm guessing that maybe Techron might have fuel stabilizing components/capabilities not advertised.
What's the worst that can happen!? That I might have to pull the carb bank in the Spring & rinse the tank...There've been worse things in the Spring...
