I changed my front brake pads today. I squeezed the lever in order to have the brakes back in place, and as the motor was running, I began to start a very very little burn in order to have the front brakes at their best. But the engine stopped all of a sudden and I can't start it again.

When I turn the key on, everything is normal except that I don't hear any bzzzz from the fuel pomp. I may try as many times as I wish to start the bike but obviously the fuel don't get where it should.

I hope that the fuel pump is not broken, and that there's a process I don't know to have the pump back.

Any idea ?

Thanks !

Thinking about today's fuel pump breakdown, I'll have to check the fuse (don't know where it is !)   Roll Eyes

I changed the fuse (under the seat) and everything is fine now.  angel

I learned on the french board that it is not necessary to buy the OEM fuel pump if needed because you can find this one for example

https://www.ebay.fr/itm/181903564650

which costs nearly a tenth of the OEM one (900 $)  uglystupid2

glad it was that simple.  my bike had a frozen fuel pump from sitting in the crate 4 years and the tank had to come off.  I have no idea how they fixed it , WD40 and a hammer bump i guess .............. Shocked

In fact, it was not a big deal at all. I was just surprised that the sooo reliable Valk could fail suddenly. I read in a US board that the problems with the fuel pump (OEM or not) mostly come from elsewhere, so I think that most of us won't ever have to change the fuel pump.  cooldude
