I was watching some B.A.S.E. jumping Youtube videos and got to thinking. I wonder who will be the first person arrested for jumping off the still being built new bridge over the Hoover dam/Colorado river gorge near Vegas. I'll bet it wont be a month after it opens if it hasn't already happened.

What a cool way to jump in this video.

New bridge, I'm looking forward to my first motorcycle ride across the bridge.

Another, I guess it's linked from side to side now. Look at those "ants" working.

Thats not BASE jumping.  Thats a bridge version of Ridge Soaring.  I learned to Ridge Soar in France a few years ago....the big difference is you dont leave the ground (bridge) until you already have a good chute......then you dont really jump you just fly off.  Its REALLY fun, but its not BASE jumping

Chris you must not have looked at the video. He has the chute open and hanging below straight down below him before he flip jumps off the bridge. That's as B.A.S.E. as you can get bro.

It looked to me as if he caught air with the chute and flew it over head before leaving the bridge.........my bad if I saw it wrong........dont misunderstand, it was still way cool

Ok, I re looked at it....youre right, its more of a BASE jump than I first thought, but still not "as B.A.S.E. as you can get" because is chute isint packed, but still a ballsie move, dont think I would do it

Heres the deffinition from on line encyclopedia:
B.A.S.E. jumping, also sometimes written as BASE jumping, is an activity that employs an initially packed parachute to jump from fixed objects (also see paragliding). "B.A.S.E." is an acronym that stands for four categories of fixed objects from which one can jump: buildings, antennas, spans (bridge), and earth (cliff).

Good luck on them twisties, at 10 mph over most of the road it's kind of ho hum. You get stopped at either end for the security check now also.

I just saw the porta-pots right with the workers. Think about that view for a minute.

Could come in handy if your bound up, have a couple of coworkers start shaking it and scare the Shyt out of you.
