Seems like there is interest in having dinner with our fellow riders on Dec 13th. As the majority attendance seems to come from northeast Dallas area, is there a place that some one would nominate for the dinner? Also, need a headcount so sound off if you will be there so we can make appropriate arrangements.
We can also do a gift exchange, white elephant style. Bring something you would either like to receive as a gift or something you want to get rid of, wrap it up and we'll play the game as it is the last of the year. I'll try to bring tickets or playing cards so we don't have to write numbers on scraps of paper.
Next, I will plan on a New Year's Day Polar Bear run (should be in the 30's per long term forecast) for those adventureous souls who want to have lunch together instead of sitting their butts in front of the TV all day watching football.
But for now, need a headcount and suggestions for the place for Dec 13th.

(but yeah, if we can choose a location within 15ish miles from Rowlett that we can get to without too much issue without getting on freeways, I MIGHT can talk mommy into letting Kali ride her bike to the event.... just sayin'.....)

How about Love & War In Texas - 601 E Plano Pkwy, Plano, TX 75074 Near the intersection of Bush and Central Expressway. But of a hike on back roads for us, but would be a fun adventure. (Still weather and school work dependent, and mommy approving as well) How's that sound to ya'll? If that's still too far east, I understand... I know we're halfway to Louisiana out here in Rowlett... |

Yeah, they were a lot easier to handle when they weren't mobile, and mommy was there to help that night as I recall..... Not saying I/we won't go, we'll see how things are going that day and play it by ear. Might bring 'em, might get my dad to watch the littles and Kali and I go, or if next week is as bad as this week has been, might stay home and quietly cry myself to sleep in a corner... Just depends on how things are going... |
