Carefree AZ

« on: November 23, 2018, 09:56:36 PM »

Glenn received his MOPs (Mick O Pegs) this week and had to try them out. We took off this morning for Bagdad, AZ to have one of those fine burgers at the local Diner in town. Weather once again, was outstanding. Another great day for a ride of 270 miles.

We left Phoenix at 9 am and stopped for a coffee break in Peeples Valley at the MountainAire gas station and had coffee with 2 of the locals. They were a hoot.

Some pics of Peeples Valley.

Here is a picture of Kirkland Junction which by the way, is for sale. Great retirement business, I think not.

We rode AZ 96 up to Bagdad to the Diner only to find out it was closed for the day. Here is Glenn at the front door demanding to be let in, but to no avail.

We rode back down AZ 96. Here are a few shots of the road to Bagdad.

We ended up eating at the Ranch House in Yarnell. Here is the beautiful view we had while we enjoyed our lunch.

By the way, Glenn likes his new MOPs.
