Are you all reading about this? This defies logic.

As best as I can tell, this "global compact" involves these countries...
red = no
blue = yes
yellow = undecided

I would hardly call this a "Global Compact" when the greatest majority of countries in the world are not party to it at all. Sounds like more  BS from the Lamestream Media.

This is only UN and yes many are not  part of the UN however they will vote on this soon and I believe the UK is in as well, Canada being in is eye opening. The fact this exists at all is mind blowing.

Very true.

Entertainingly, a whole pile of countries (the majority of them) who are not privy to the Compact have no stake in the Compact because (almost) no one wants to migrate to those countries to live (or even visit).

If you don't like your country, do what we did and (have a revolution and) make it better.  Don't run away to my country.  How many bad ideas do they have to have before we kick them out of NYC?

I'm sure they could do just as good of business in Timbuktu, Mali.  They probably have the internet there.

The term Global Compact is yet another big fib (fake news) handle to make it (and the UN's) prestige sound more important than it is.  It's one of their favorite words.

I wish Trump would take a stand and exit  the UN.
We are a sovereign nation, we give freely, and we certainly do not need the UN trying to dictate to us.
THAT would get the point across........

Even better would be if they kicked the UN Headquarters out of the US. JMNSHO

Canada being in doesn't surprise me at all. They don't even afford their own citizens the rights that we have here in the US. Now that I am retired, (actually, since I left my OTR employment) I have no reason to cross our Northern border, and will no longer do so.
