Got the bike all loaded up for work, got my jacket on, helmit on and backed it out of the garage. Started up fine, then died, no lights nothing, I am guessing its a fuse. Good thing the VTX was there, I moved everything over and rode it to work. Thought I had enough gas to make it to work before reserve, but just as I was on the off ramp of the turnpike, it started to sputter. Had enough to make it the rest of the way, but will need to buy some gas when I leave the office.

Where is the fuse box, under the right side cover, like the VTX?

You are right.  The tech board should be a great help in this situation.
