Passenger backrest ?

Has anyone done or know how to get more height from an existing sissybar backrest?
I have a Cobra (I think) sissybar with backrest pad and it needs to be about 2" higher for the wife.
I've looked at everything here (from the site) as far as Vendors, ebay, and other sellers but can't seem to find what I need. The one I have is the highest made for this application.
I thought about redrilling the holes in the pad and moving it up on the sissybar but once I took it apart there is no way. Plus it wouldn't look that good mounted on the bar. Then thought about making a new backing for the pad out of wood, then I'd be able to put the mounting holes where ever I'd want, but that would take a substantial amount of time and skill (not sure I possess that much of either) plus this too would not look that good once mounted.
My next thought is to get/make spacers to move the whole sissybar up in the brackets. This too would take time and/or money if I had to go to a Machine shop to have them done.
Any thoughts, suggestions, experiences are welcomed.

Ultimate's rear backrest pad comes with 2 sets of holes so you can mount it higher than stock. That is what I have and it is alot better. But I don't remember how much higer it is...maybe an inch or 2. Check their website.

JoAnn didn't like the angle of the backrest and there was no aftermarket stuff way back then that I knew of,,so,, I made a new bracket[higher and straighter] out of some chromed stock that was laying around..
