Not to start another political debate, but what else are they going to blame Global Warming on? First it was driving cars, now reproducing? I see the logic... less people less cars... pretty soon they're going to tell you staring at the sun causes Global Warming!

Yea and I also heard that the Government is now recommending breast exams every 2 years instead of annually.... probably in an effort to further reduce the population and ultimately that Global Warming effect as well.

I say the heck with that recommendation.... I will give women free breast exams on a regular basis, weekly or daily if desired.    cooldude

Shoot, I'm waiting for the EPA to declare the moon a protected wetland.
They will need a budget for that I'm sure. The Lunar Liquid Assessment Tax

It's only reasonable that those who enjoy a resource, well and those who can most afford it, should pay for the preservation of that resource.    Smiley   The big problem with the world today is the sense of entitlement that pervades the rich and those aspiring to be so.   Surely you don't believe that you should step out onto the balcony of your expensive condo and thrill to the visual stimulus of a beautiful autumn moon without associating some reasonable costs to that enjoyment.  Get in touch with reality!  All this nature and apparently abundant resource which you so willingly consume did not come about without expense and effort.  Get your wallet out and dig deep if you enjoy this world in which you have chosen to sojourn.  Surely you would like to have your great grandchildren be able to step out of their own tents and revel in that same lunar vision that is so deeply sententious to you.

If the wealthy (and those who aspire to be so) will not voluntarily take responsibility for preserving the tradition of the full autumn moon, our government has no recourse but to, on their behalf, assume that responsibility and assess the reasonable and necessary costs for the joys of which all have so freely partaken.  Stand by for the Lunar Autumn Liquid Adequacy Revenue Assessment Requirement Act.   uglystupid2

And another thing, there has been altogether too much freely partaking.  We as an affluent society need to adopt immediately and maintain from this time forward a policy of zero based budgeting across the board.  What appears to be free is not and if there is insufficient payment for any item, luxury, necessity, or virtuality, then the government of the people, by the people and for the people must of necessity step in and fill the heretofore absent monetary value added gap.

Stop whining about being taxed.  There are starving orphans all over this planet that would dearly love to have an income to be taxed.  If you have, you certainly owe it to those who have not.

In fact, we've determined that much of the problem with taxation has been the negative publicity and resistance to the term itself.  Henceforth we shall no longer refer to these fees as tax, but as Publicly Enforced Required Contribution.

I still think there is a lot of truth in this letter to the editor.  After all, the author is an attorney.

Ok, not going to stand by everything said in this article... but I think it makes for an interesting read:

http://www.tenthamendmentcenter.com/2009/10/04/slaves-to-a-federal-tyranny/

Especially Chief Justice John Marshall's comment: “the power to tax involves the power to destroy”. In this case, he was talking about the state's power to destroy the federal government's power. This was obviously before the Fed was bigger than the states, and the states still had soverign power. Really makes you think.

I'm gonna plant some trees to help the environment. How bout giving me a dollar per tree instead of giving to the gov't. Then in twleve years, I can thin those trees, make some money doing so, then in 20 to 25 years, harvest those trees for a sizable profit and start over again. Oh heck, you are already doing so. Several neighbors have taken advantage of the CRP program run by the govt. And you get subsidies for doing so. Gotta love it.

I planted 12,000 trees on my land. The state did go half will me if i met certain terms. Keep fire lanes open, keep the land in trees for the next 20 years. I was thinking i could get agriculture taxes on the land then. NOT! But if i run a couple of acres of hay and a horse then i could get the tax break? The best part was at tax time the state sends me a form. It says i have to claim there half of the money as income on my taxes.

Personally, I think it should be called Social Contribution for the Advancement of the Moon. (Acronym would be S.C.A.M.)

Tell me where I'm wrong on any of this:

WAYS TO BE A GOOD LIBERAL

1. You have to be against capital punishment, but support abortion on
demand.

2. You have to believe that businesses create oppression and
governments create prosperity.

3. You have to believe that guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens are more of a threat than U.S. nuclear weapons technology in the hands
of Iran or Chinese and North Korean communists.

4. You have to believe that there was no art before federal funding.

5. You have to believe that global temperatures are less affected by
cyclical changes in the earth's climate and more affected by soccer moms
driving SUV's.

6. You have to believe that gender roles are artificial, but being
homosexual is natural.

7. You have to believe that the AIDS virus is spread by a lack of
federal funding.

8. You have to believe that the same teacher who can't teach
4th-graders how to read is somehow qualified to teach those same kids
about s e x.

9. You have to believe that hunters don't care about nature, but PETA
activists do.

10. You have to believe that self-esteem is more important than
actually doing something to earn it.

11. You have to believe the NRA is bad because it supports certain
parts of the Constitution.

12. You have to believe the ACLU is good because it supports certain
parts of the Constitution.

13. You have to believe that taxes are too low, but ATM fees are too
high.

14. You have to believe that Margaret Sanger and Gloria Steinem are
more important to American history than Thomas Jefferson, Gen. Robert E. Lee, and Thomas Edison.

15. You have to believe that standardized tests are racist, but racial
quotas and set-asides are not.

16. You have to believe that the only reason socialism hasn't worked
anywhere it's been tried is because the right people haven't been in
charge.

17. You have to believe that homosexual parades displaying drag queens
and transvestites should be constitutionally protected, and manger
scenes at Christmas should be illegal.

18. You have to believe that a government that can't run a postal service, Social Security, Medicare, Public Education, Cash-For-Clunkers efficiently will be able to manage the health care of 350 million people.

GOD BLESS AMERICA

Oops, can't do that either

Are you all saying that population control is NOT the answer to the problem? I believe it is the ONLY solution and I dont mean to just global warming either. Birth control is not the answer either, I'm talking Capital punishment on a large scale for starters,Followed by sterilization as a punishment and I'm even for "eye for an eye" kind of torture and then sterilization. Then we must have reproductive guidelines. If you are not smart enough to be a productive member of society then you damn sure wont do the gene pool any favors! Stupid people are breeding and they just make more stupid people! The ones who think that is ok are just the greedy bastards hoping they make stupid people that will vote and hopefully pay taxes. Screw that ,we got enough people already! When I am king there will be a test befor you can reproduce and cruel and unusual punishment for breaking that law.And those left that are NOT disqualified from reproduction  will be challenged with makin babies as fast as we can clear the convicts from death row and move the new ones in. Hopefully that process will be streamlined as well !

We can start with setting traps for the stupid ones...just remove the signs that say "Road slippery when wet", Take the lids completely off McDonalds Coffee cups so it does not say HOT STUFF! NOT SUITABLE FOR GROIN USE!( in 2 freekin languages) ! No more buying a toaster at walmart that has a warning label telling you not to make toast in the bathtub! in fact I would encourage using electrical appliances in the tub! Darwinism has it's advantages and it WORKS ! We have interfered TOO LONG!

I'm with you!
A little "thinning of the herd" would go a long way here.
My POS daughter in law is on that list, 4 kids, three fathers, no job, no support from two of the fathers. The whole bunch of them are living off the system and feel just fine doing it.
We don't need more means of support... we need less people that want support!
 tickedoff
I thought my daughter was on that list too. But oddly enough after she lost all means of support she got her crap together and made something of herself! Funny how that works. I'm so happy she didn't take the route of getting pregnant so she could collect, it seems like that is the route a lot of young women take. I know of two girls that got pregnant on purpose because they were tired of working at the shoe factory.

Free condoms? That is not the answer.
The world needs mandatory sterilization for the lower classes.

Production of condoms will only use more of the worlds energy resourses.
Mandatory sterilization will create more jobs in the medical fields and the removed organs can be recycled as high protein food suppliments for the hungry lower classes.
