As stated in the title, I have a 2000 red/black with two brothers pipes on it. Bike is new to me, but I have several Valkyries. Anyway, I noticed that during hard left that something would scrape the pavement “early” and it wasn’t the foot pegs. Took a little looking until I found the marks on the side stand. I notice on the pipes themselves there is a weldment designed for contact with the stand. I did a close inspection on the kick stand mount and there is no bent metal or other oddities I can find in the stand mount itself.
I do not have the same issue with the cobra exhaust on my other valk, nor the standard (of course). I’ve found no way to adjust the pipes so this doesn’t happen so I thought I’d come here for advice/suggestions. Ayone out there in Valkyrie land that has had this issue?

I had two brothers six turnouts on one of my balks for over 10 years without any scraping.   Wore out a ser of kuyrakyn foot pegs though.

Is the contact happening on the kickstand extension that you use your foot to put it down?

If so, that extension can be bent a little for best function; and the best way is to put a pipe down over it (rather than hammer smacking).

The OE pipes have a little dimple cutout the extension is supposed to fit into, and some have had to bend it a bit to get it in there properly (me too).

If the contact is happening on the duckfoot, is the extension holding it farther out than it should be?

You may need to stick the bike on the jack (or lean it on a wall on the right, in gear), as it's tricky working on the kickstand with the bike resting on it.
