I don't need replacing pads yet, but I have a 2 whole sets  (12 pads in all ) that came in "the box of extras" with my bike.

https://www.sixity.com/front-rear-organic-brake-pads-2000-2003-honda-gl1500c-cd-valkyrie-set-full-2048130743.html

They are pretty cheap so if they are crap,  I'll spring for better ones when the time comes.

They are fine.  cooldude I've been using similar for 120k. The only difference is they don't have the metal heat shield that the OEM ones do. I had forgot about that till Hook (or somebody) reminded me about them. I can't tell any difference.

Thanks.  Hook is up my way.  I have not spoke to him lately.   We're all shut down for the deep freeze.

I’ve been using them on two bikes now. They work fine for me. I’ve emergency braked with them and they did fine. I’ll be putting a set on the VTX 1800 I just picked up when it needs pads.

those pads are not the best for stopping. Sintered Bronze (SB) will stop the best. Even their site states so
Superior stopping power compared to carbon organic, Kevlar™ organic, or semi-metallic organic pads.

Longer pad life than organic, Kevlar™ organic, ceramic, or semi-metallic pads – stable sintered metal structure is impervious to softening and decomposition in wet conditions.

OEM is SB why after all of these yrs the valkyrie is still in the top five for best stopping distance. There is nothing better for street use than SB pads.
