I'm in my hospital room recovering from the right knee replacement this morning. The operation went very well and PT starts over again later in the week. I've already walked the 5th floor and should be home tomorrow.

I can't think of any other joints that I want or need replaced, so until the hips and knees wear out I'm staying away from operating rooms.  cooldude

George, I'm glad to hear the all went well.  Now that you have a Titanium Skeleton, it doesn't mean you can get crazy.  I'll be looking forward to riding with you again.  Hopefully I see you in Beaty in a month.

Thanks guys. I was home by noon today and just got back from a 1/4 mile walk. It doesn't sound like much, but I can feel the improvement between the first and second operations. PT starts tomorrow and that's when reality clashes with fantasy.

Looking forward to riding with you all real soon.

Glad to hear things went well for the procedure, sounds like things are moving along and you'll be able to help me shovel snow in no time.  Wink

Wishing you a speedy recovery George!

Thanks for asking Dennis. I put some pressure on myself this past weekend and drove myself to a friend's Memorial Service in Anaheim. Although I stopped a few times, it was hard on the knee, but otherwise driving was not an issue. I've had 3 PT sessions, am walking over a mile a day and heading back to the gym on my off days. There's plenty of pain, but I've been able to stay off the opioids and stick to Tylenol.

As long as I can keep this up, I'll be riding to Death Valley in February.

Good to hear you are doing well George. At the rate you going, the Death Valley ride will be no problem for you.

My work schedule changes this next week,  I'll be working 4 pm to 2 am, Tuesday-Friday. So I'm not sure if I'll make it.  I still have time to figure it out though.
