I have a dilemma here, I guess that I can say that I'm slowly feeling my age 2funny.
My lower back seems to be telling me  tickedoff that it is requiring some support while on the Valk for trips  Sad.
I need to be a little closer to the handlebars also.

Option 1 - Get the Ultimate Lowrider and back rest for $725 ish.  Cry
Option 2 - Get the Utopia back rest and some risers that will bring back the handle bars 1" for $250 ish.  coolsmiley

What are your thoughts out there?
Any recommendations for the riser?
Do they have any noticeable handling difference?

Thanks in advance for you thoughts and experiences  Smiley

I put the Utopia backrest, and 1 inch farther back risers on my 1999 standard.  The difference in comfort is amazing, I also have a national windshield and baker air wings. The windshield helped take a load of my upper back and shoulders, but the backrest and moving the bars closer to me made it perfect.  I also noticed I seem to handle the slow turns better cause the bars are closer to me, and I don't have to reach as far.   OH yea  6 foot 175 lbs.

And I'm only 5'7".

Can I inquire as to where you got the risers?

Thanks Smiley

You didn't say what year bike you have HDL sells drivers seat 2000 for 85.00 that sets you lower Lamonster risers well give more than 1inch pullback and you don't have to move anything Also Ultimate sells discontuned seats for almost 1/2 off right they have a low rider 4 piece set for 457.00

Be Aware that the lowrider seat changes the riding position greatly. I had to get all new pegs due to the change. If you ride alone look at the biker's friend product. It is a Round hard pipe that can act as a backrest and a storage unit.

Have you look at the PRO-TAC back rest as well? It mounts on the real fender side mounts and has a removable back support. I have one that I am no longer using if you are interested.

Hmmmmmm, I have a 2000 Interstate.

I take it that the HDL seat (driver 2000) you mention is a OEM Honda part then? I'm OK with my seat but never heard of the other from HDL.

And I'll also check out Lamonsters risers. cooldude

Thanks for the info Smiley
