Might be a dumb question, but I just received the baffles for the 6x6 and plan on installing them tomorrow. Which side needs to be inserted first? The one with the screw hole or the opposite side?

Thanks!

Opposite end goes in first. Are your pipes currently installed on the bike ?

Yeah, they're currently on the bike. Came without baffles when I bought it. I keep it in a climate controlled garage so it's not sitting outside of my apartment, which is why I couldn't look at it last night.

OK, take a good look at the mount holes on all 6 pipes. You will not be able to access one pipe on each side (think it's the top pipe, not sure, I went back to stock pipes) . You will need to drill a new hole, or remove that pipe to install the baffle.

After getting to my bike and looking at the holes, this appears to be a very dumb questions. There's only one way they can go in....

Yep, screw side goes out. Mine came with baffles but there wasn't a lick of packing on them- don't know if they just don't come with any, or it'd long since all blown out.

Wrapped all six up- wrapping the fiberglass in packing tape greatly eases reinstallation- squishes the fluff down, and also slides in easy. It melts/burns off quickly once you run it. With the packing (vs baffles no packing) it definitely softens the note a bit, it's not as raspy and a bit more muted. It doesn't make a huge difference volume wise.
