Parked on dirt , bikes fell over. No damage, but won’t start now. Turned key on & off, cycled kill sweet &
checked battery terminals ? Gonna check angle sensor & relay, hope the manual is walks me thru that . Appreciate the input ! Mofla

Pull one plug wire and check for spark with a couple short cranks.
If spark is present, you can forget about the tip over circuit, it has reset as designed.

Mine got upended while it was running (years ago) and quite a bit of gas flowed into the dirt. It took a few cranks to start afterward, probably yours just needs the float bowls refilled, depending how long it was on its side. Mine was toppled on its right side for quite a while (>1 hour) until I was able to get help up-righting it.

I recommend SHORT cranking periods followed by long pauses. That'll engage the vacuum, enabling fuel flow from the petcock. LONG cranks kill the battery (spark is the first thing to go away as the battery depletes).

Report back!!

Did the bike go over to the left?
If it did, check for a bent kick stand and the and associated electrical connections.

Thank for the inputs,,, to be more descriptive, Its not tuning over all. Like a sensor is not allowing the starting circuit to complete? Yes it fell to the left , I will concentrate on that area for a while . Trying to figure out how to by-pass bank angle and or relay , all I’m getting is a headache!!! Thanks for the help !!!

I think you are on to something here. Maybe some mud or dirt in the side stand switch. Mofla, have you tried starting in neutral ? Have you been able to look at the bank angle sensor yet ?

Located and removed sensors & relays . I really don’t know how to check or by-pass despite some knowledge with an omnmeter . If the kickstand indicator is working, wouldn’t that rule out malfunction
Of that switch ?? Waiting for some magic advice & I do thank you for the participation!!!

Sometimes through the panic of our bikes being down we overlook the obvious.  Key on, ignition on, clutch lever pulled in, bike in neutral, kickstand up. The basics, Im sure you tried this. If so then try the things the others have said.

Also try cycling the kill sw off/on some.  If it needs cleaning/maint it could be the culprit.  My "George" needs attention there and he isn't high miles.

Glad you found it. I had a similar thing happen and didn't think it was your solution.
I tried everything to start mine no luck. Went to push it a few feet to better safety and it was in gear
with the green neutral indicator on !
Pushed the lever into first gear position and back to neutral it rolled. Hit the start button it fired.

Had to hurry and call my brother-in-law he was starting a 20 mile drive with a trailer to get me home.

You should also check your dragon drool tube...they tend to need draining after a tipover.

Good thought! On another note, I could have avoided all this aggravation had my clutch switch been functioning. Have one ordered !

Did you ever find the culprit that lit up the neutral light when the transmission wasn't in really in neutral? Or was it just an isolated incident?

I've had my light on many times, and the bike wasn't in neutral. 5-10 times or so. But I always start with the clutch pulled in. But then, I've also had it in 1-2nd gear too, and when I release the clutch it pops into neutral. Hard to get a non-running engine into a gear when cold.

You’ve been starting it in neutral previously ? It’s also a safety thing in case you stall out an intersection or something.  cooldude

No I didn't I did research some. I'm now 71 the tourer has 156k miles I decided to see what happens. If I get a "no start" when the button is pushed I will rock the bike back and forth to see if it is a neutral problem. It hasn't happened again. I always park in neutral in the garage in gear on the road if not a level location.

I always start in neutral.

Procrastination on replacing the clutch switch is my bad ! As yes when you die at a light you really appreciate that convenience! Yes I have had the green light on before and not been in neutral! I guess
Because of the falling over my brain wasn’t as sharp as it could have been ! I know it wasn’t the beer !
Thanks once again dragon slayers !

I haven't replaced a bad clutch switch on my Shadow 600, and it is inconvenient at a stoplight, indeed.

I've repaired a few clutch/brake switches. Unplug and remove. Look carefully and you'll find small hole in the switch. Spray contact cleaner in that hole as you click the switch repeatedly. Check with ohm meter and reinstall. Never replaced one yet.
