2014 Valkyrie 1800

Seminole, Florida

« on: November 21, 2009, 07:20:05 AM »

We head out for South Central Florida yesterday to find the World famous, self proclaimed best
BB-Q, "Slim's Deep South-BB-Q", in Arcadia, Florida. The fog was heavy and wet, first two hours of riding was 25 ft visability, like pea soup! Then it started to burn off.

Then the problems started, yup, my Valk AGAIN : None of the guys I ride with even maintain their Valks and they never seem to have any problems. Me, I'm plagued with problems. (see tech. post)

Ran across this old rusted out vehicle, I don't know what it is, or was. Maybe someone here will know? Shocked

I'm really getting tired of being the guy broke down all the time...I think I'm getting closer to blowing the dust off my wallet and getting one of these...Ahhhhh, fuel injection.

Well I hope you found the BBQ at least. If you are talking about the big African American guy that has the stand along the side of the road just outside Arcadia, They are by far the the best BBQ ribs I have ever eaten.

Doug, I don't know where the rib joint you seek is located but I do think that rusty old heap is an old orange hauler. Totes the freshly picked crop out of the groves in big round containers.

And........................Don't get rid of your Valk!
You'll be sorry if you do!  Wink

We'll have to have a contest to see who dusts their wallet off first for that. You or Smokin Joe.  Grin

I know Eddie, I really love my Valk and try to take the best care of it. It just gets dissapointing that it let's me down this much. One good ride, work on it. One good ride, work on it. It's been never ending.

I'm no mechanic but I'm thinking you've got vent or some sort of fuel line trouble ( clogged screen ,kinked line, petcock  ???  I've rode the Connie 1400 and yes I would like to have one but I would'nt get rid of my Valkyrie's to do so.Hope you locate the problem and it's a simple fix  cooldude
