Author Topic: Front Brake Caliper - Bolts torque specs please  (Read 3336 times)

Changed the front brake pads today.    Two bolts hold the calipers to the fork frame and two bolts hold the pads in the caliper.    Anybody have the bolt torque specs for both types of bolts?   Yea I should buy the manual, but hoping somebody would share.  My other bike's owners manuals always had the specs.    Disappointing Honda does not.

Looks Like the caliper to fork bolts are 23 ft lbs. Don't know about the pad bolts.

Thanks many.   I set the Caliper to Fork bolts way to tight.   Going to back um down to spec.   Thanks again.

I heard that the most important thing is to put some grease on the bolts, otherwise when it's stuck-sealed the whole caliper is worn out. So that's what I always do now.  Wink
