Hello Everyone.  Just wanted to say.  I just purchased a 1999 Tourer with 20,225 miles on the clock.  I would love to post a picture but I'm not having any luck with Photostash or JustPics.  Anyway I'm looking forward to reading more posts in the future but until the tax season is over this will have to do.  My buddy that got me thinking about the Valkyrie owns the yellow and black bike in the "1976 GL 1000" thread.

Ride Safe!

Welcome Mr. Numbers...

Your best bet is to post your pictures at some image posting site, and refer to them in your posts here.

When I was typing in this post, I typed the following:

and in my completed post, it looks like this:

Thanks for the welcome and the suggestion.  I'll use that in the future.  Once the tax season is over a group of us ride down to Tombstone on a Saturday and head home on Sunday.  If anyone is interested pm and I will include you on the rider list.

Welcome aboard.  I am in Prescott, so a few miles north of you.  I'll be looking forward to riding together.

Welcome to the forum John. Check out  Inzane 2019, our annual Valkyrie get together, to be held in Taos, NM this June.

Unfortunately Inzane 2019 is out fo the question for this year but I'm certainly open next year.  This year I'm going to be limited to weekend trips or long one day rides.

Sandy, this is John.  I rode the green Kawasaki ZRX1200R to Maricopa for breakfast.   As much as I enjoyed riding the ZZR 1200 my knees and butt were not happy at all so I decided to sell it and buy a 1999 Tourer.  That where Darrell's bad influence came in. Grin  The main cross roads are Ellsworth and Guadalupe.  I'm on medical leave until 4/1 so let me know if you want to swing by my place during the day. I'm bored out of my gord so it won't be a problem!

I'm looking forward to meeting you Prescott John.  A nice ride to Prescott and some refreshment on Whiskey Row sounds pretty fun.  I limit myself to one beer when I ride. Cool

Ride safe!

Hmmph.  I actually think my influence was pretty GOOD!  Look what you ended up with – a beautiful burgundy and cream '99!

... And I'm thinking long and hard about Taos in June .

Welcome John,
Some great minds on this forum. Mine is not one of them but I do enjoy reading the posts. The ride to Prescott through Wickenburg is something you just have to do. Prescott John has had 3 annual BBQ's at his place and he and his wife are just wonderful people. I am in Phoenix, but keep my '99 Valk Tourer in Prescott. I ride it when up at my cabin. I ride a 2006 Kawasaki V2K in Phoenix, but am trying to sell it so I can buy a Goldwing. Anyway, welcome!

I'm with you dconstruct55,  I enjoy reading the posts.  There is a wealth of information from folks way more knowledgeable than me.  I can navigate my way through a set of financial statements or Internal Revenue Code a lot easier than I can the inner working of these motorcycles!  I've already learned a lot watching Desertrefugee work on my GL1000.  I've been to Prescott a couple of times.  The town square and Whiskey Row are really something.  One of my favorite rides is over the Mingus mountains, through Jerome, Sedona, Flagstaff and then the backroads to Payson and then Mesa.
