Today started as an overcast day which made for a nice and comfortable ride to Daytona, had a couple from my neck of the woods hang with me all day.
We hit Destination first, we met with Nick, Mike and Leslie, Robert and Lilian for a stroll around the sales tents and a nice lunch at Hooligans.
Myself and the couple that rode with me decided to go to Rats Hole via the Ormond Loop and then we ended at Main Street for the normal people watch.

I have to say that things seem to be getting mellower, less vendors, less crazies and just more of a mellow feeling all around, at least by the time we headed home, I imagine things still get crazy when dark falls  Tongue

I have to say that in all the years that I have visited Daytona, this one was by far the best weather ever, it was just perfect.

Here are some pics of some of the bikes at he Rats Hole bike competition, pics do no justice to some of this bikes.

Nice pictures, Jack.  I'm glad you had a good time.  I wanted to go a couple of times this year but it didn't happen.  The same thing happened last year.   Bummer!

Just another thought, a coworker told me years ago, "I have as much fun on my $2000 bike as  they have on their $30,000 (or more) bike".

Great pics and sounds like a good time as well !
Hooligans has the very best grilled wings around in my opinion and consider myself a wing aficionado!

Good seeing u Jack and your friends. I got back to where my Bike was parked and some dude was taking a few shots of my ride, she get's attention everywhere I park. Left early as my family was doing ST Paddy's Day diner Saturday because my Daughter works Sunday's.

I rode off with Mike & Leslie, Robert & Lil, we split up at 40 & 19. I headed South on 19 and they shot across 40 and headed to Mike's house in Ocala for a stay over. I hauled ass home and stopped in Tarrytown for fuel, it started to rain when I left, then the sky's opened up all the way to the Speedway in Brooksville  crazy2

Stopped there to empty my boots  Grin soaked thru and thru. I had rain gear but thought it would be a light rain  uglystupid2 Anyway all in all great day. I hit the Suncoast PKWY and it was the typical 85/90 mph run to the house, I was just about dried out when I got home  cooldude

I like wings too, Pappy!.   cooldude cooldude cooldude  I especially like um, BBQ, honey BBQ, and medium buffalo.  But then I like buffets, too!  And did I mention Chinese and Tex Mex?  I guess I better stop now.  I'm making myself hungry.

Man some of those wildly stretched baggers remind of hallucinogenic experiences in my youth.

Closing eyes tightly.... hoping not to see that again when opening them.

Wish I could have joined y’all. Had surgery a few weeks ago and can’t really leave house yet. I did get to
Rathole show for about 1/2 hr, that was about the extent of my outing. Weather was great for everyone this year. I will be ready for lees burg bike fest next month. That leather wrapped bike was amazing.

cooldude Thanks for sharing Jack. Nice to know things were just right for your visit. Some folks really take their bikes to the extreme.  Evil Does make for a great time taking in the different schmes. smitten Maybe one of these days I can get there!  coolsmiley

The Dept. I worked for with the state used to have an office in Daytona near the main drag. Let's just say the sights of 30-35 years ago were a bit different and I often made it a point to have to visit that suboffice. All official business you understand!  Roll Eyes

Looking at the pics I was wondering about the Rat Bike. How would he know if something fell off....or would he care I guess is the question. We've had a couple different versions show up for a short visit at the InZane rallies, both were Valks, both riders were "different" (being kind).  Wink
