I run the Shinko Tourmasters on my V65 Magna. Super sticky tire and very cheap but short life.

Been on em awhile now. Had at one time the SE 890s front and rear. I M H O way better than dunflops. I've been D/S rear quite awhile and on my second 777 in 140-80-17 white wall up front. I like the old school look and how well it-Shinko-handles All the road conditions I've been in. Up to this point in time I have NO reason whatsoever to say anything negative about MY Tire choice(s). And Trust me when i tell ya I ain't shy. Dunlop elite 3s scared the kaka outa me in the rain. Someone offers me a lifetime supply of elite 3s by Dunlop i WILL turn it down and continue to Purchase my Shinko's. RIDE SAFE.

I'm completely sold on the 230 Tourmaster for my front tire.

It's only about $100, is an excellent rain tire  and I'm getting about 16k mi out of them.

I've ran a couple of sets of the 890 Journeys.

My biggest complaint with them is poor mileage (12k front / 8k rear).

But they are cheap enough that you still save money over Dunlops and some others.

agree,  I think the shinko 230 tourmaster front tire is great that is what I will continue to use until Shinko proves me wrong getting a bad one.  I have the SE890 Journey on back and nothing wrong with that for the most part either just as long of tire life as any other normal cycle tire and as you know,  much cheaper as well.

I needed tires at the end of last season and thought I'd try the Shinko SE890 Journey's this time. I've tried a different brand tire each time I needed tires. Right from the start I have a slight vibration while going in a straight line. Not terrible, but you can feel it. It completely goes away when leaning or cornering. I hope it gets better as they wear. Talking to other folks on here it seems its in the tread design. Adding beads seem to help a bit. For the price, not a bad tire. First impressions mean a lot. I won't be buying again.

That vibration is part of the reason I stopped using them on the front.

In my experience it was only noticeable at 30-40mph.

Thanks for the inputs. I've been looking for an alternative to Dunlop. Been running them a long time on my Goldwings. Just want to try something different. I have Dunlops on my Interstate now and not that happy with them

Which shinko wobbled on the front?  SE890, 230 tourmaster, or I think they made a 777 model.

Just my thought and a guess,  the SE890 Journey might have more design flaws overall than the 230 tourmaster.    I also think the 230 tourmaster is bias ply, but could be wrong.  I mixed bias and radial no issues there.

I’ve run a couple of the 890 journey tires and currently have 230 tourmaster. The tourmaster Is the better tire for my personal needs. The disadvantage to tourmaster is they don’t make it in the rear size for the valk. I run a car tire so it doesn’t affect me
