That's a Florida mine field. I had the same problem for some time until I trapped a couple and gave them a free ride to the coast, about 40 miles away. They can be a real PITA, and as you can see...really mess up a nice yard. We also get those little gophers that create tunnels and dirt mounds. Haven't figured out a real effective method to get rid of them yet.

It's illegal to release an armadillo in the state of Florida. You are supposed to euthanize them.
I used to trap them in Jacksonville, but I'm not having much luck trapping them here. I am having pretty good success shooting them. I wander around the yard at night with a flashlight and a .22. I think I've shot 8 of them so far. The buzzards and the eagles love them, I hate them.  tickedoff
Some of those holes are ankle breakers.

Wear gloves
Dig up earthworms
Marinade in Roundup for about 12 hours
Put worms into gopher holes

Killed all the moles that were giving me problems when I lived in England

A trick I used on nightime critters (if you don't already have a light mounted to the rifle), is:

With a Ruger 10/22 with straight 4 power scope and banana magazine, pulled an old sock over the barrel and upper stock, then duct taped a good flashlight tightly to the underside of the forearm (sock is to keep the tape goo off the rifle).  Then I set up in my shooting spot with a makeshift bench.   I did away with everyone eating and trashing my tallboy tomatoes that night.  The light highlights the crosshairs.

Grin Misread your post, right at first.  I was going to warn you that it's illegal to own more than five dildos, in Texas.

Five? Now what panel of experts came up with that number.
I think they are outlawed completely in Alabama.

I was going to include the comment that I have no idea how lawmakers came up with "five".  Must be a public safety issue.

some years ago my neighbor emptied an gas bottle in several holes and than ignited t. H... crap!!! It blown up the entire garden, his own and to several neigbourghs, at 300yards arround all windows were blown away! he was badly burnt, fortunately no one else hurt. Hospitalized for over a week, once home the Police knocked on his door, took him to the station, followed with presentation to the judge! He got few month of immediate enprisonment!

I've used Ricinus seeds, it is a great fertilizer and magnificent remedy for the lawn!!
