Does anyone know what the paint code is for matching the engine block/transmission color. I have a few spots that were under the kuryakyn trans covers that I decided not to re-install.
Any help is appreciated...

That's funny- it's the kind of thing I'd do- emphasizing the 'Made in USA' aspect...
But, to the original question: Have you ever tried washing the whole thing down with Hondabright? It's a cleaner you get from Honda dealers, of course, but it takes everything off the bare aluminum except actual scratches! It never fails me; almost no grease or other marks can withstand it, especially if you apply a small amount of brushing with a toothbrush-on-a-stick or similar. It doesn't harm any rubbers or plastics, either. Give it a try, if you haven't already done so.

I didn't knoiw there was a color code. My engine blocks aren't painted. I didn't think our engines were painted either until I ran a pair of Valkyrie cylinder heads through my jet wash cleaning system, the cleaning process stripped off about half the paint! I don't have a clue if they are all painted, but this one clearly was. To answer the original question. In the engine rebuilding industry it's common practice to use a paint called Alumi Blast by Seymour Paints on aluminum castings after repairs have been made. The Alumi Blast has the appearance of new cast aluminum, might try some and see if it matches. Redline

I've had decent luck cleaning up the aluminum engine block (and underneath, and the brakes, but not any paint) with mild corrosive mag wheel cleaner, or S100, or engine degreaser, or even Spray 9 or Simple Green, and stiff brushes (and a very good rinse while still wet) (and don't do a hot/warm engine).
Best to do it in someone else's driveway, or the street.

I’m pretty sure they are all painted. I also have a couple spots behind my trans covers. If I was going to touch them up, I’d grab 2 or 3 different cans and try to get it close. Probably need a white cardboard or aluminum scrap to test them out .

If you're going to the effort to paint it I would suggest you ignore the original color and use black. It really makes the chrome jump out. Be aware that it will need to be high temp paint.

VHT makes a couple of medium (~600 degree F) and high (1200-1400 degrees F) temperature paints...the former designed for engine blocks and the latter for headers. Engine paints are available in gloss black, aluminum and dull aluminum shades, while their header equivalents are offered in mattes. I'm going to look in to painting my I/S engine gloss black should it ever need to come out of the frame.

The engines are painted. I found an Aluminium coloured paint at the local car parts place that matched almost perfectly.

Will you share the details if you still have the paint? Brand and color?

I must have used it all but I have no idea on what. The can isn’t with the rest of my paint. I suspect is was either DUPLICOLOUR ALUMINUM or the high temp aluminum but don’t remember the brand. Next time I’m in the store I will post it
