Make sure you check the float heights .....not adjustable but it they are out its at risk of hydroloc Wink

The plastic floats can be distorted

The intake O rings are a #123 size and viton is a better material than Honda OEM. I took one of my floats to a hydraulic supply and matched up a viton O ring that fit the shaped groove. I had to stick it down with Perm-a-tex non hardening gasket maker. No problems. I can't post the part # as I'm 400 miles from home.  Be home Wed.

Thanks guys Red Eye has the rubber gaskets i need, floats look ok, idle jets are blocked, soaking and using a strand of wire from wire brush seems to clear them, cleaned the jet passages

I've never done it myself, but a lot seem to still have one or 2 pulled after trying to clean them, and have moved on to buy new ones instead.

Took me about one hour to clean out the pilot jets, the bowl gaskets were brittle and fell apart .. the factory glues them in place nineteen years ago, they have lasted all that time..
I was going to post a picture of carbs but i dont work..

Where is your picture? Go to postimage.org , create an account, and UL to the site. I make a folder first call "Forums" where I place all pictures that I have posted onto websites. This way I know not to delete them so the img will stay on the posted thread.

All back together hard part was fitting the plastic shield up front and fitting the air filter, then the main fuel line getting that in right place .. short and tight space... engine runs smooth nice idle

At first start up pushing the starter button headlights went out.... working the red on off switch right bar with wd40 it started up and worked fine.... now the problem putting the engine into gear running it dies, i checked the micro switch on the clutch was ok..... engine off put in first gear .... pull clutch lever... push started button headlights go out ..and no starter.... is there a neutral safety  switch somewhere

Yes. You need to either have it in neutral or the kickstand up.
