A friend had some vision issues so he couldn’t ride for an extended time. Yep! Carbs jammed up. But, additionally he had a hydrolock. The lucky part was he didn’t try to start it, he saw gas dripping out of the exhaust pipe and called me. We removed all the spark plugs and turned the engine over not locked but the #2 plug was  soaking wet.

Long story short I had him order a float and needle valve and a new OEM  petcock. I know, l usually recommend a Pingel but he has the chrome engine hangers and he’s trying to sell it. I told him staying stock would be more sale-able

Anyway we did a carb bank-extomy. When I opened up the offending carburetor the float was so stuck it took a firm pressure to bust it loose. Well there it was the reason for fuel getting in the cylinder. We did replace the #2 float and needle valve

He’s going to have the dealer rebuild and clean up all the carbs as I didn’t have the time. Hopefully all is well when they come back
