I'm running the much maligned Dunlop 404 on the front.  as I posted a couple of years ago, it feels different--not good, not bad, just...different.  I may go back to a regular front MC tire when it needs changing.  Very noticeable when in uneven worn pavement tracks.  I don't remember my previous tire acting that way.

Don't give up yet. Some like that Dunlop, I'm not a fan though. Try the Michelin Pilot Activ rear next time. It has good handling characteristics for me.  cooldude

Been pretty happy with a Bridgestone Batlax BT45 in front - been using that one for years on Deerslayer, Jade and BluByU - '02 wing.  Has 11/32 tread depth IIRC.  in size 130/90-17.  Tall and narrow makes for crispy handling.  Not good in loose gravel.

I had a Dunlop D404, 130/90H-17  Rear Tire with Reverse Rotation installed last year. I am very pleased with it and total price (Installation and Tire) $88 Dollars.  cooldude

I am running the Shinko 712 rear on the front of my Interstate, its been on for about 2000 miles and I haven't noticed much difference, it was cheap and free delivery from Amazon.

That's a great price.  I think my tire alone was $80-90, and I had to pay $45 to have it mounted.

I got it at a small shop here in Indy. I checked the manufactured date before having it installed. It was new, not an old leftover.
