My house/home of 38 years has a new owner as of today. No more 400 mile round trips every weekend to check on things. No more multiple duplicate bills for insurance, taxes, utilities and upkeep. The new owners are thrilled with their purchase and I am even more thrilled for them to have it!

Family thinks my wife and I would be sad, but I carry the memories with me and the rest is just brick and mortar. I invested a lot of time and energy into the place and it paid me back very well so that’s a plus. I’ve got a lot of things to do to my current home to make it mine/ ours, but idle hands are the devils workshop so I’m safe for a while there to.

I’m really tired too, moving is not for the weak. I’ve still got a trailer load of stuff to unload this weekend that was the last of our stuff that had to be out by 8am this morning. A couple of nights rest and I’ll be ready to hit it again my Monday.

If I don’t have to move again for 38 years that will be ok! I’d be 104 by then and probably be in my final resting place.

Where did you settle down at John. I moved down to Hattiesburg. Moving is hard on an old guy like us.

Mac, I’m in Richmond, Ky about 20 minutes from Lexington. Moved to be able to help with our twin grandsons who were premies 3 years ago. I have other family in Richmond too, my uncle and a bunch of cousins that I will be able to reconnect as opportunity allows.

You just keep moving south! You can’t go too much farther or you’re going to get wet Grin

You are right about that  John. About an hour or so from the  Gulf.  Ram I'm about  20 miles  from Allen.
