Hey, new bitch old bitch here.... Deerslayer
Registered years ago.. member # 3477 but never really posted much.
I’m from the Seattle area & one of the original founding members of The VERMIN Club.
I have had 3 valks.. best bike ever built.

1st was a 97 tourer.. green & cream..it had custom paint & every bit of chrome goddies available. I hit a 6 point deer (killed that sombitch) riding solo in 1999 & lived to tell the story.
I rode my bent up & broken bike 250 miles home.
All my VERMIN riding buddies gave me the monicker “The  Deerslayer “. Got The bike fixed up & continued to ride it until... I was leading a VERMIN ride in Oregon when a woman who was parked on the shoulder decided to make a u-turn in front of our group.
Killed the bike.. but somehow my wife ‘Dragonlady’ & I survived... just barely.. were messed up bad.. DragonLady had multiple broken bones. I woke up to a couple buddies ‘The Bro’ & ‘’Ratdog’ yelling at me. Blacked out again. Woke up in The ambulance with a 35 VERMIN escort to the hospital. Physically we have never fully recovered from that accident.... but damn lucky to survive.

2nd is a 2000 tourer.... .still have & Ride it.

3rd is a 97 Green & Cream. A fellow VERMIN who hasn’t been able to ride it much... recently offered it to me.
The bike is in great condition & just broke in at only 34,000 miles. Couldn’t pass it up .. feels like brand new out of the show room... Loving it!

No, I don’t think so.. Last I heard his bike was in-operable.
I recently tried to make contact with him.. thru a couple texts & a phone call.
He did reply to my 1st text with  a kissy face emoji..

Don’t know exactly what that means...
‘Love ya bro’ or ‘kiss off sucker’... ha ha  Grin  Cool

Ha.. good ol KC...
loved that guy..
Every time we would do a club ride, stop for gas & a butt break..
every one would be back on their bike & KC is nowhere to be found..

10-15-20 minutes would go by... no KC
It got to be so bad sometimes- we would just leave without him.
He never did learn.. ha ha

Hey Dusty,
Glad to hear from you..
think last time I rode with you was either the Soap Lake Rally or The run to Neah Bay.

Now that I think about it ... It was Both!
Good Times!

Been through Jellystone a few times.. always good.

As much as I love riding in Canada.. I won’t be able to make Merrit this year. Maybe next year.

Charles was a good contributor in the early days of the VRCC.  We communicated occasionally and got to meet and share stories at a couple of InZanes.  Hope he’s doing well.

Ratdog & I hit it off on his 1st VERMIN Ride & became best buds...

We rode together every damn weekend rain or shine.
We even did 2 official Iron Butt rides together .. 1000 miles with-in 24 hours.
we came in, in just over 18 hours & got the belt buckle to prove it.

yah, got black one and does look dirty after 1-2 days all dusty.  What product keeps dust AWAY from sticking so soon?    It maybe look dirty quicker, but black is FASTER!   Wink

My blue/cream tourer does not show dirt or dust at all looks cleaner much, much longer.

I simply gave up trying to make it shine.  tickedoff
Currently it has about 5 years worth of dirt & bugs.
Although..The new bike gets polished after each ride.
It doesn’t show the dirt at all... well except a rainy ride.

My first ride on it after I brought it home was aprox. A 500 mile day with my son who rides a 1800 VTX.

Damn good time! Can’t think of a better way to share the day with my son.

Over Mount Raineir to Yakima, over blewit pass to Wennatchee, then stevens pass home.
Mount Rainier still had 12’ snow walls on the road in spots. Awesomeness.

So pretty  smitten
