I am out of commission for a while, had an accident Sat. cut my right first finger length wise to the bone, and got the knuckle also. Had surgery this morning to re attach the ligaments that were cut in half. Real pain in the butt, got sewed up Sat, then took the stitches out this morning and did the repairs and more stitches. But it will heal, just sucks not being able to use my right hand.

Just a wet meet at Trimble park, Fri and Sat. Wanted to take the boat, but not with my screwed up paw.

And were, were your mechanics gloves on the work bench I bet. Get well soon, hand and finger cuts are the number one accident at our company too.

Not good timing for sure, hopefully you heal quickly and are back to 100% sooner than expected. So dare we ask what you were working on when this happened?  Take care.

Taking down an 6 tube light fixture as the ballast had fried, had 6 screws holding it, I took 4 out and got off the ladder to get a tool, it fell and I had my hand on the step, sharp edge landed on my hand.
Fixture weighed about 40 lbs. And I learned a whole bunch of new words.  tickedoff

WOW, that sounds like a whole new vocabulary would be developed after that, my stomach cringed. Hopefully you heal quickly and rehab goes well.
Take care and listen to Anna, stay out of the shop for a while and rest that hand.

Freeking ballasts.

I just wired in bare light bulbs (and let those fancy cloud fixtures hang on the ceiling in my utility room).

On my outdoor fixtures, I just put in cheapo outdoor fixtures and used new bright yellow LED bulbs with the photo sensors right in the bulb.  They last forever.  4 bulbs for $20 on Amazon.

Freeking ballasts.

Bill, Roxie and I are sorry to hear about your mishap. Hope that your healing and therapy go quickly and as painlessly as is possible. We will wait patiently for our turn in your line up to come around once you are healed. Meanwhile, take this time to relax and enjoy life as best you can.
