This car had not been washed in about a year, of course it hasn’t been driven much either, but it was time!

Yesterday was wash day too. The Titan has been a road warrior for the last three years and I have literally been too tired most of the time to keep it clean. She cleans up pretty good after 14 years and 180,000 miles.

I’m debating on whether to disturb all this valuable “barn find” dust.

Dust doesn’t show up well in the photo but you can’t even see through the windshield. I hesitate to start on the Valkyrie since I won’t have the time to get her roadworthy this summer. She has been a patient girl this long so maybe a little longer.

Wife’s car tomorrow!

You know, a dust cover (for the bike) doesn't keep it perfect, but a lot better than that.

I use my (really) old satin king waterbed sheets.

Sort of a reminder of the good old days.

yah, that windshield is pretty NOT good unable to drive the bike in that condition no way to see thru that shield.  for some reason black shows dust, etc. a lot worse than any other color.   I gotta find something that repels dust AFTER cleaning? any idea?

I have a bike cover for a Valkyrie but it must have been designed for a standard but doesn’t fit the way mine is set up now. Plus I’d have to do a thorough cleaning before I could put any kind of cover on it now! Got any more of those sheets laying around?

Even DDT had Serk's spawn wash Ali.
Now I really feel bad!

Thanks, it was an itch I had to scratch! It’s the first car I’ve driven that I have not been able to find it’s limits in spirited street driving. Maybe I just lack the nerve to push it to its limits.

This winter I hope to start on my next project. It’s been in the garage for 20+ years and just saw daylight for the first time last month.

Is that a mid 60's Chevelle ? My 2nd car was a '67 Chevelle (4 door hardtop) with the 283 V8 and the 2 speed Powerglide auto transmission - rusting out towards the trunk area...

Lost that car when I took my Cb400A to work and a neighborhood kid slammed into it while parked in front of my parents home. Dad ended up getting me a '69 Ford LTD coupe (390 V8 w/ 3speed auto) to take to KU.

67 Malibu. It was a 283 power glide bench seat car which I stupidly let the 283 go and someone stole the power glide from my barn. Next time it’s running on the road it will be powered by this,

All aluminum 5.7 350 hp ls that will see numerous upgrades before going in. Will most likely be an automatic as I have an auto console already and a 6 speed in the Corvette.

I had a '69 Chevelle SS 396 (350hp), baby blue convertible, white interior and top.  Just like this (a bench, no buckets).

I have little recollection of how I ever let that go.  What a dummy.

It was cold in MI winter, and the top always leaked a little in the rain (I'd just throw a towel on my left leg and was good to go)

Even had the spawn wash both of my Valks while she was at it... Maybe I'll have her wash Daniel's bike to complete the trilogy!  Grin
