Had an fun day up at the Motorcycle Rally. Since it was Saturday, I didn't encounter the usual awful commuter traffic on 495 north to route 3 to NH. It may for a quick trip up to Weirs Beach. I arrived about 8:45 and there was plenty of parking. It filled up by a little after 10.

As the day went on, the morning clouds cleared and it turned out to be a beautiful day.

Did the usual stuff. Strolled, looked at the bikes, bought some stuff and talked to others about their bikes and about my bike. It's essentially a Harley Davidson world up there. I did see several of the new Yamaha Ventures, some BMWs, including 3 K1600s, 3 Valkyries and some pre-2018 Gold Wings. There was only one 2018 Wing there that I saw, mine. A bunch people did stop to talk to ask questions, including a guy on an HD Ultra Limited who parked right next to me. We talked for about 10 minutes. I liked that.
I did run into Tom Mannel from Marlborough and we chatted for a bit. Always nice to see him.

I skipped the Roadhouse this year. Got a steak and cheese sub across the street instead. I did get to see the Motorcycle Cage Death show this year. Pretty amazing to see a 16 year-old boy riding a Japanese dirt bike in a round metal cage. At one point a MILF stood in the floor in the middle of the cage, raised up her hands and he high-fived her as he was riding around the cage. Just incredible. The announcer said the woman was the kids Mom. She looked old enough to be, but dam she was good-looking.
The Weirs was getting pretty hot and loud by about 1, so I left and headed down 106 to the Speedway to check out what was there. It's on the way home for me.

At the Speedway were HD, Indian and Yamaha demo rides. After looking at the bikes offered, I decided to pass. Completely uninterested in any of the offerings. When you ride a Flat 6 engine, everything else doesn't really thrill.
I think I did see what potentially could be Terry's next HD.

Would you pay $29,000 for HDs new electric motorcycle? I wouldn't. It has a range less than Zero's electric motorcycle and costs substantially more. HD will begin taking orders in August. Good luck to them.
I did see a ride that I think would be perfect for Bernie.

What do you think Bernie, a good stable mate for your scooter?
From the Speedway, a stop at the NH Liquor in Hooksett for booze and then home. Great day!
