I would like to replace turn signal indicator bulb in headlight bucket with a bright LED so I remember to shut it off. Is it a 194 bulb? Has anyone done this? And what color bulb did you use? Couple years ago i replaced dash bulbs with led and that was a nice improvement. 99 tourer. Thanks.

I just hardwired in a red LED to each side of the turn signal circuits then to ground to fix the problem of inadvertent 4-ways after changing the bulbs in the turn signals to LED.  So I have 2 LED's stuffed in the indicator socket.  Don't recall if I added a resistor to ea LED.  Likely not as there is already a resistor in ea circuit with the LED arrays to prevent too much power blowing out the LED's in the indicator.  They are bright ones I use to make my Highlighters.  Very obvious much brighter than the 194 OEM incandescents.  I don't recall where I bought them it was some time ago but here's a source.  https://www.radioshack.com/collections/leds-and-holders/products/4-7mm-round-red-led?variant=19425623900230

Pretty easy project actually, an hour or so with a soldering iron and some shrink wrap.

I think you have to add some diodes also. I just added a little buzzer to my Standard. I can't hear it at 60, but it reminds me to turn them off 99% of the time.

An LED is a diode.

People say that these work with no modification, even in the turn signals.  Haven't done it myself, but I saw it on a thread on the Honda Valkyrie Facebook group.
