In safely. No issues.

Left Merritt with Wayne, separated from him, driving into Burnaby for a "date", then he'll continue to home on Vancouver Island.

Linda and I got in at 16:00. Buffalobob led our group (Myla & Sam, Ken, Linda & I) on a sedate ride down the Coquihalla Highway stopping for an early refuel in Hope. After crossing the border at Sumas we went our sperate ways near Bellingham.

After the fuel in Hope, I rode the remaining 180 miles without refueling, can't be much left in that Standard tank!

Thanks to the BC Chapter for another great Valhalla Rally!

Lisa and I bugged out at 9:30 this AM headed North. Hit a few good showers, and  some real nice weather as well as we rode 5A to Kamloops, then the old road through Savanau, then up to 108 Mile where we hooked up with my old riding buddy from the 70's-early 80's (the guy I was riding with the night I met Lisa) . So  now we're tucked away in a motel tonight in 100 Mile House ... tomorrow it's highway 24 to Little Fort and then wherever the road and better weather takes us for the next few days.

In at 2:30. Was good to see everybody and did right on 1000 miles to my driveway.

Emily and I had some sun, had some rain, had some cold, had some warm. Tucked in with relatives in Creston tonight, then off for Calgary tomorrow.
**Update**
Home now. Didn’t put on the rain suits today, and although we rode through brief periods of medium rain and only slightly longer periods of light rain, we didn’t regret leaving the rain suits in the tank bag.

Got rained on hard early after I left towards Peachland and then it got warm and sunny. Further on to Pentincton, lunch in Princeton, Hope, backroads through Mission, Surrey, home around 6pm.

It was a short visit, but I am glad I made it out. Very nice meeting you all and hanging out for the evening!

I will make sure to check the board here on a regular basis to see what's happening...

Cheers everyone  cooldude

Good ride home.

It was great meeting you Christian, looking forward to again.

Don't forget, you can post 1st, post some rides you intend to make. But don't get disappointed if you don't get a reply, we aren't the most active group, or large.

George and I meet up every 3rd Sat of the month. Currently changed to 7 am at the Roadrunner Cafe in Langley. The ex-Vermin in Seattle meet every 2nd Sat of the month.

I also meet up with a group of GW riders each week, year round. They ride after evening coffee. Older, but a good group of people.

After another couple wild weather days on the road, Lisa and I are home. Spent the better part of the last two days dodging some nasty rain, hail, and wind storms... and getting caught by some as well, as we crisscrossed a lot of the old back routes from 108 Mile through to the Shuswap and Northern Okanogan. Also had some good stretches of sun and dry roads... the run on 33 to Rock Creek was awesome. Stopped there for lunch just in time to watch a wicked hail storm pelt the bike for about 10 minutes while we shared some stories over lunch with a couple of fellow riders from Grand Forks. The run home from Rock Creek was basically in full rain gear through heavy downpours. Good choice I think coming home a bit early, as it looks as if it'll be next week before this unsettled weather ceases.
Still a good ride though... I don't mind riding in the rain and Lisa's good with it as well especially if there's some breaks along the way like we had this week... better than not being out on the road at all cooldude

3 hours of washing, cleaning, and waxing... She's back to her normal state   Cool I never mind getting her dirty (man, did the last several days ever do the trick there), I just can't stand letting her stay dirty.
Yesterday in particular  proved to me that even expensive waterproof boots aren't 100% waterproof, and that even though you're completely buttoned down with good rain gear, water tends to find a way inside... Ah, just one of the many joys of motorcycling. cooldude
