Doesn't seem to be a lot of activity over there.

My friend's 2014 Valk's gas cap cover doesn't latch when pushed down. It's in my garage, (I'm putting a new front tire on it) and figured I'd try fixing it for him. So far all I have done is spray a little WD-40 in there and work the catch up and down. It does pop back up on it's own. I'm guessing I have to take the whole thing off, I did see a thread about that, but can anyone tell me what to look for after that?

EDIT- I just realized that there is a key to open it on the pod. Stuck the key in and it barely moves. Is that normal or is the cable froze up or something?

EDIT #2- Just talked to him on the phone. He had the pod off that has the keyhole. Maybe the cable needs rerouted? Any tips appreciated!

Thank in advance.

Bag '98 Valk

The cable was out of it's holder at the gas tank end.
