Once upon a time a good friend of mine warned me not to test ride a Valk unless I was willing to buy one! Well, I did... and I did! That was over twenty years ago, and we're still an item... no end in sight, either...

not sure about everyone else, but for me, the first time i saw one, was 'wtf is THAT thing'
A stripped wing?? noooo way
I've had all sorts of bikes, but I do believe the jugular close, was it uses car parts, has a REAL alternator I could SEE (hello, my name is medina and I've been touched by a dead stator)
...and... the penny test, that was literally the 'oh, i have to have one' and so the search began, took 4-5 months, cause i had to have the teal black

Yeah Dennis, both my interstates are 20 this year.

Lots of guys say man that's old... but they look really good.

I always answer... I dunno, 20 seems pretty young to me.   Grin

Funny thing is the first one I saw I'm pretty sure is the one I bought, several years later!

I was at a gas station on my 'screaming 650 Yamaha classic silverrado' when this guy comes tooling in on a black Valk with 6-6 pipes and I thought "how cool is that thing with the 6 'slash-cut' pipes!

Tried to talk to the guy but he wasn't interested in a conversation.

Many years later I bought my bike from my daughters FIL who is not a "ball of conversation".
So putting it all together (black bike, slash-cut pipes, owner not too talkative) plus Valks not the most abundant bikes around and even less with 6-6 pipes...
