What are the torque specs for the upper and lower clamp bolts?

Got one that's been sitting in the to-install pile for a while and my Tourer looks to be a good recipient.

Bagger,
I also have a 2bro's triple clamp without instructions.
When you install yours please take many pics and notes so I can follow up with mine.

I emailed their support address. Hopefully I'll get a reply. If not I'll look at the type of bolts used in the upper and lower clamps then check into their recommended torque values when used in 6061-T6, which is what I think the clamp is made from.

Chet (Rattlebars) indicated that he needed to run the throttle cables behind the clamps when he mounted the setup on NightMare. I may switch the throttle housing over to an I/S version in order to gain a little more slack.

A bit of serendipity with the changeover: My Tourer has a National Cycle light bar with a Kuryakyn Bullet Turn Signal Conversion kit in place of the N/C parts. I originally did this to gain a little clearance between the radiator cap and the right-side signal when the bar is turned to full lock. As it stands now, you cannot use an aftermarket cap cover without the cap interfering with the signal.

Should the TBR part move the headlight/light bar mount even 1/4" further forward than it is at present, problem solved. I'm going to compare the TBR setup to a stock Honda clamp I have on-hand and see.

Heard back from Joe @ TwoBros this morning. Docs aren't available but he suggests that the pinch-bolt torque values are the same as the stock fasteners.

JimC - if your clamp assembly is handy, can you check this?

From the Wayback Machine:

I'll snap a few pics of the completed install. FWIW, Chet used to offer two different versions of his 'UnderWhere' cover - one for the OEM lower triple clamp and another for the TBR part.

I don't think either clamp cover will work with what I'm planning...a set of VTX1800C fork covers in conjunction with the new clamps. A set of H-D wind deflectors were put on the bike in colder weather, but they'll interfere with the I/S pods now.  Thus, the lower mounting clamps (a Memphis Shades part) can go away and tube covers can be installed. The upper clamps for the deflectors are currently used as the 3rd mounting point for a Bob Dron fairing, or as an attachment for some to-be-added Memphis Lowers. Memphis has a mount set that'll position the lowers far enough forward to prevent them hitting the pods.

One wishes the Wayback Machine was an actual time machine, and that one had a large pocket full of cash to buy all the sought-after, since-discontinued goodies which spark these discussions. I snatched up quite a few during the Valkyrie's heyday but somehow managed to miss one or three items.  Undecided

Wow, at $510 I guess my polished trees would have looked good enough. Thanks for posting the link. FWIW, I did try some trees that had a 6 deg. rake as I recall, I didn't like the feeling and removed them. Decided to keep the OEM and polish'em up. They're in need of a major touch up by now.

The TBR part doesn't change the rake - only the trail - thus, the handling doesn't get "heavier". Agreed that $600 seemed like a lot of money back in the day...and I was fortunate to get a lightly used set of them for less than that.

I recently spent a little time looking through the Just Pics section of the site at the various Valkyries, remembering almost each and every one that got posted throughout the years. How many of the featured accessories on those bikes were discontinued (too soon!), and how many of the bikes are still in their original owner's hands?
