My wife had always had artificial trees growing up and in her home.  At our first Christmas together, I told her I would NEVER have an aritificial Christmas Tree in my home.  I just hate those things.  A real tree just smells so nice, looks way better, and is just more natural.  I'm just glad none of my kids have allergies to them.  And so what if you have to clean up a few needles...a few minutes with a shop-vac and all is good.

I never had an artificial tree growing up either. I agree with you about how nice the real ones
are.

Have ever seen one catch on fire, though? Bleggh... there's a lot of heart pine (fat lighter) in  my
house.

I don't care what anyone else calls it, it will ALWAYS be a "Christmas" tree to me....why do these newspaper/media folks have to pander to the minority and think that most of this Country should take it??......pisses me off....I don't get offended by other religions doing what they do to celebrate whatever/whom ever they believe in....

There have been comments in past years about why we don't just buy one of those butt ugly FAKE cone type trees......Uhhh, about $10,000-20,000 for a tree comparable to the size we use....and the other half of the comments are from folks thinking we should plant a tree instead...I'm not even going to take the time to point out the dangers of trying to do that in Downtown Athens

Calm down Stan.  I was just givin ya a ration of shiite.   Evil  I agree with you though.  Just because we are tolerant of other religions doesn't mean we give up the rights to our religious symbols.

I think in Blues Brother Ray meant to miss that kid. I'm sure he could wing him if he'd wanted to do so.
