Back Patch

We are heading for Arkansas and I want to wear my vest. I have a large in color back patch of a dragon and the words  "Valkyrie Ride The Dragon" on it. One half inch under that I have a straight patch of an image of a Valk.
My question is should I wear it or remove the back patches? I did get hassled in Indianapolis a few years ago for having the back patches. I hate the fact that 1%'ers can dictate what I can wear but not enough to fight (too damn old) or die for.

Generally anything that resembles a three part patch (not just three patches) but like a VRCC patch with your name or handle patch and location patch  all made to look like One image will get you in trouble.

The bottom territory rocker was what I always heard could be trouble.

If you are in THEIR claimed territory, that was the trouble.

It seems to me if you claim no territory, and identify no competing Club (Gang) (and are prepared to explain this if it becomes an issue with some guy), you should be fine.  Experienced 1%ers are probably not your problem, rookies, wanabees and new guys could be. 

But this is why I have never worn any kind of back patches of any kind, ever.  I'm an independent.

There are 6 or 7 rider groups in Arkansas that use a single back patch.

I’m not familiar with which 1% clubs are currently dominating in that state but from
the description of your patches I would think you’d be ok if they’re on a LEATHER vest.

A denim vest with patches is far more likely to raise their hackles .

As long as you don’t have... MC, 13, 1%, I Support ___ , a territory rocker etc. anywhere else on the vest  I wouldn’t thInk you’re likely to get any hassle.

That being said, there is always the chance that overzealous prospects will let their testosterone boil
over and try to get your goat.

Be glad you’re on a Valk and not a custom HD you built yourself. That was my cross to bear with A&P back east.

Thanks for all the replies. I decided to take off the back patches so I can ride without having to even think about any problem. I will still fight if I have to but I'm too old to go looking for trouble (like I to).

           When I wear my vest so it's seen I have a large Old Style beer patch on the back in the middle very noticeable. When I wear my dayglo green mesh jacket in the middle on the back very noticeable is a Honda Valkyrie on a black back round. On my leather riding jacket on the back in the middle very noticeable is the large Red White and Blue Valkyrie Riders Cruiser Club patch. All of my jackets and vests and a few of my ball caps also show I'm a Nam Vet. As does the license plate frame on Phatt Ghurl. Up too this point in time I've never been hassled about my parches. I seem to recall when certain venues were named for Inzane Admin stated to Not show rockers. Being as I never had any rockers was way easy to comply. Rockers show you are claiming territory. Don't claim territory even your home town. I have a small State of Illinois patch on my vest and only one time a long time ago I just told them It's where I'm originally from. Maybe time to remove That patch!  RIDE SAFE.

I'm familiar with the patch you described.  It should not be a problem, since no territory or club is mentioned.
