Looks like Nicetown isn't so nice.

And the ding batty politicians want more laws!  Lips Sealed The shooter in Gilroy purchased his weapon in Las Vegas Nv. legally and imported it into Ca. illegally. The shooter in Dayton Oh. had someone else purchase the drum magazine which when the shooter got it it became illegal for the purchaser. The shooter in Riverside Ca. was a convicted felon that Murdered a Ca. Highway Patrol Officer and never should have possessed any fire arm ever. Thinkin here more laws ain't gonna help a bit at all. Maybe consider getting rid of felons and terrorists. Or is that too simple? RIDE SAFE.

Might be a little harsh, but removing the distal phalanx of the first and second fingers would keep criminals from using guns....cant hold the weapon or pull the trigger....just saying. Suspect in Philly was a drug dealing felon. All went down while trying to serve a warrant. Thankfully no serious injuries to any of Phillies Finest

Nicetown, Tioga section is home to one of the best level 1 trauma centers in the city. Now we know why...

It's what the name means, taken from Greek.  The population of the city now in no way resembles the population that originally settled and selected the name.

Many years ago when I was there North Philadelphia was dominated by gangs.  It's likely it still is.

That POS was finally taken. His photo is all over the news now. He has a rap sheet longer than our arms. Did I forget to mention he is a POS.

Ultra liberal mayor that is just a “media whore” and a bleeding heart District Attorney with revolving door sentencing.  News mostly fails to say that most of the current crime wave with daylight gunfights are gangs fighting for territory.  Big tradition of hatred of police in the roughest neighborhoods and the “no snitch” residents have made policing a tough job.

The central Pennsylvania residents with a deep tradition of gun ownership and hunting heritage is the only reason that PA hasn’t turned into another NJ or NY gun banning state, but it’s coming.

Maurice Hill, the criminal who wounded six police officers in a shootout in Philadelphia and was arrested after a seven-hour standoff, attended a radical mosque.

The mosque, called Masjid Ahlil Hadith Wal Athar, is known for preaching the Islamist ideology promoted by Saudi Arabia referred to as “Wahhabism.”

Clarion Intelligence Network has been aware through its sources that the area where the shootings took place is known for trafficking in guns, drugs and counterfeit items. This criminal market has a strong Islamist element that includes extremist gangs.

Carl,

I was stationed at Ft Dix, NJ for about 12 months, went to Philly once, that was enough.  As a native Pittsburgher, I couldn't believe it was part of the same state.  Extremely rude people that I was afraid to turn my back on.  They can keep it.

Baldo,

I agree.
