I  ride with a lot of HD riders....we often tease each other.  When we start our bikes for a ride they ask, "Well, are you going to start that thing, or what??"  I tell them that I don't mind riding with them....I have a tow rope!  It's all in good fun!!

Had that actually happen for real once.

On a PGR mission. We're saddled up ready
to begin the escort and everyone is starting up. I had been sitting there running for a bit and the guy next to me tells me I had better "start my bike, we're leaving soon". Wasn't in a nasty way but perhaps slightly less than friendly.

Told him "it's running" and point to the tach.

"Oh"

               Next time when yer gathered up in the parking lot show them the nickel trick. And I've pointed this out before-ask them for the nickel(s).  RIDE SAFE. P S-been accused of usin magnets even after I spain aluminum valve covers.  duh.

I don’t either I have owned and ridded them all and keep goong back to my ‘97 bee.

I do not see how anyone can enjoy at idle all that shaking of engine parts and handlebars, etc.

Even when I rode Harleys and did some civil disobedience work against the helmet law here in California I couldn't stand the HD crowd. Just a bunch of clowns for the most part, wanna be everything, buying into a so called lifestyle more than anything. There were some good ones but very few and far between.
As far as the vibrations go, I can see it from a woman's  stand point. Being sexually depraved seems to be a quality these days, cherished, therefore appreciated by some men and women alike.
Nothing exists outside the thinking mind after all!
