Crestview (Panhandle) Florida

Rode to church today and noticed gas was low. So after getting home and having breakfast I went back out to gas up since it will be rainy this week.

On the way home I’m stopped at one of our longer lights. Helmet flipped up hand not on throttle. So up comes two crotch rockets one beside me and one behind. So we’re all waiting for the light but it’s obvious I am way more familiar with this particular light or else they are just itching to show how much faster their bikes are.

I calmly wait till the traffic coming off the freeway gets their turn before closing my helmet and being ready. By now the other two riders were tired of being ready and apparently didn’t notice me preparing to go.

So when the light turned green I launched a bit harder than normal. Not racing speed by any means but it must have startled the crotch rocket bad asses because they took off but weren’t ready. Far behind me I heard them downshifting back down to speed up to catch me but I was able to deny them closure until a car in front of me made me have to slow.

That’s when these other too took their opportunity to jump in the other lane and pass. They did not seem happy. They must have thought I was going to leave the light like all the Harleys that were out put putting around town

LOL, I like that. No wave, thumbs up or acknowledgement. Some folks take things way too seriously.

Our old Phat gurls may not be the newest, fastest bikes out there - but they got plenty to catch them unawares !

gotta love beating them off the line.  I raced last month from stop light a Porsche and BMW fancy convertible and the Porsche was close but did not allow him to get in front of me he had it pretty hammered and so did I but I was on my 638cc burgman scooter...          I did not want him to feel too bad if I took my Valk I/S against him... 2funny

I did come up to some sort of newer hybrid cycle in the country he even allowed me to catch up to him and stop awhile before taking off at a stop light again.  I kept up with him but lost he had me off the line then again it was either like a hybrid ducati or some other cycle that was not a crotch rocket per say.
