Phatt Ghurls bead leak

     Determined my front tire pressure loss was due to a bead leak. Pulled the front wheel and took it to my tire guy. When he dismounted the tire the bead area was NASTY. Grungy black buildup and Not Really smooth and Shiny. My tire guy has a bench grinder with a stiff wire wheel mounted about knee high and with a milk crate he shined up the bead area rather nicely. I also Know most shops do Not allow customers in the work area. BEFORE having a new tire installed should they not allow you in the shop area Politely Demand they bring the wheel out for your visual okey dokey Before new tire is Installed to make SURE bead area IS Clean Shiny and Smooth. IF they should refuse to let you see the wheel Before tire install you Need some one else to install your tires. I'm thinkin the little over a year of non ridin after I unloaded in Aug of 16 didn't help the bead leak issue. Hope this helps some one here with maybe a similar issue. RIDE SAFE,

Find ya some spray poly urethene and reseal the inner wheel/bead area to prevent future corrosion...

I been taking my wheels to the Suzuki guy for the last few iterations... worried
about the bead-seal, on the last tire I de-beaded it and cleaned the mating surface
inside the rim before taking it in...

When I was doing the whole job myself, I always cleaned the bead surface first
