The planning crew (RocketMan, Disco and RainMaker) got together too late for this year but we are looking at making it a spring event around the same time that the GOTF used to be.  This should allow the Willow Loop to be in bloom and the weather to be on the cooler side.

More info as we put plans together.

For those who are still interested in an Autumn trip to the Hill Country, the following events are happening the third weekend in October.

The Harvest Classic in Luckenbach is always fun to walk around.  100cc fun run on Friday, tons of classic bikes, vintage trials exhibition, trials competition along the river, Bat Cave down the road, and more, all in that classic setting.

The Spyders in the Hills rally in Kerrville will be attended by a number of our VRCC friends, some on three wheels, some on two.

18 - 19 October www.harvestclassic.org/

Disco is right that the Harvest Classic show is pretty good.  Ive been twice and they have some pretty good classic/ antique motorcycles show up.  Good roads out there to ride also.  Another 10 yrs and we can enter our Valks in the show...ha

My wife and I are staying in my HD buddies large travel trailer in Stonewall KOA.   Our wives wont pull trailers so the only way to get the travel trailer and the bikes here is for him to pull the travel trailer and me to pull the bikes.   I love riding the Texas Hill Country and iffin I gotta trailer to get here so be it.    Besides... when you ride with a buddy on a 1999 Hd its nice to have a trailer along.   Twice before he has had to ride bitch on my Honda to go get the trailer to pick up his bike.   Ha.   I got nothing against Harley but they do breakdown more than our bikes.  However, my Valk now has 96,000 miles on it and is 18 years old so you never know.  We gonna ride the twisted sisters either today or tomorrow.   Looking forward to it....wish you all could ride with us.

Sometimes, there are reasons that make trailering the most effective way to maximize a trip that includes motorcycles. Just sayin'.   coolsmiley

We stayed at the Fredricksburg KOA and Friday morning we ate breakfast at Andys restaurant and then rode the Three Twisted Sisters.   Great place to ride.   Ate lunch at the motorcycle hang out in Leakey.  Met some really nice riders along the way.  This time of year its mostly older retired guys on the road....kind of like me.    Buddies Harley did good this trip.   These Valkyries are awesome for this kind of riding.   Last night we went to Lukenbach to see a band called kin Faux.    Cost $10/person.   Greatmusic and a large ready to party crowd... ha.  The lead singer was amazing.   While singing he is playing the fiddle and a keyboard and a guitar respectively.  He put on a show.   Today we got no plans so we will see what the day will bring.

No offense taken Bighead.   I have taken a lot of motorcycle trips in my life but am getting older (age 69)  (Ive had two back operations) and find that sometimes trailering is easier and keeps me riding far away places sometimes.  I have to trailer when the wife wants to go.   We are leaving Fredricksburg this morning and we had a great time.   I love the hill country.   Will try to post pictures when i get home.
