the new board....i know it HAS been said....but I HAVE TO SAY IT AGAIN...

every time somebody says "hey Scott, how do i do this?" Or..."hey Scott, i would like this board better if only....". He has either done something about it, explained patiently how to do it, or promised he would look into it as SOON as he can/could.......

now, as one who runs another board.....and has gone thru a couple of changes like this....and who has dealt with the headaches and growing pains, i AGAIN....want to thank him for all the work I KNOW FIRST HAND....he is doing behind the scenes.

Case in point:

i mentioned on the Rune board, i like to use the "go to top/go to bottom" buttons to quicken going up and down pages. Even though Scott didn't have any real use for that...(and perhaps many or most don't??)...within MINUTES of me making that comment, he found the buttons/links to do that, and added them...POOF.

Someone else mentioned they would like it more if they could tell that photos were in the posts ...like the old board. POOF....he puts an icon in for notifying photos are in a post! (yes, YOU have to put that icon in....it doesn't do it automatically....but it's there! Some things, he can make happen. Some things...he can't).

I could go on. All the helpful advice on "how to"....etc....that he has posted as folks ask questions (ehhh...and some....might be asked not too 'politely'....i might add....).

Bottom line, i've walked in his shoes in THIS regard. Maybe not a mile....as the Rune board perhaps doesn't get the traffic this board does? but i've walked in his shoes a couple of hundred yards. and i KNOW just how hard he's working to bend over backwards to help us, please us, keep this all running smoothly and effiiciently.

You can't please all the people all the time, but he's coming AS DANG CLOSE...as i think is humanly possible in THIS case. Thank you again Scott.........

PS. I know i've said this before. But i've had to work with my Moderators for the Rune board when we've made changes....and everyone who is an Admin or Moderator....is having to work OVERTIME...to get a handle on ALL the changes on the board. They have 10 times more stuff to figure out than we do....and must do so quickly and with care....to keep things running smoothly. So again, i thank Carl and Connie and Lori TOO!!!!!!!

I'm impressed how smoothly the transition to the board went.
I can not imagine how much work it is. I manage two forums, Coffee Cruisers Norway and Valkyrienorway (only 80 members) I have banned 12 users so far today. This is just a "drop in the ocean" compared with what Scott and his team have to deal with. I wonder how many have been banned here today?  

I know what kind of work you are doing, and are very grateful!
