We will meet at 9 AM at the old Hotel 6 location on Jefferson Blvd (Exit15) on route 95 south of Providence. Kick stands up at 9:30 heading to Watch Hill arriving around 10:30 (usually meet CT boys there). From there we will head to Aunt Carrie's for lunch and then on to Beavertail (Bernie and Ronbou's favorite spot). After that it gets tricky. Construction on the Newport Bridge has made it a nightmare at times. It is down to 1 lane in both directions. Bring EZ-PASS in case we go. Please let me know here if you are coming so we don't miss anyone. 401-649-5557 if you need to contact me.

HI Rick,
I plan on being there solo. I will most likely bail out at Beavertail and pass on the Newport portion.
Thanks for organizing.

Sherry's back is out again, so I'll be riding solo, too. I'll meet you guys at Aunt Carries. I should arrive between 11:00 and 11:30. I'm planning on going to Beavertail, but not Newport. Looking forward to seeing you guys and Rick T's new bike. Should be a beautiful day.

Gear Head Greg is coming but I doubt JR will make it. He hasn't ridden in years and is having breathing difficulties. See you tomorrow.

Thank YOU, Rick, for hosting us! I'd like to apologize for accidentally hitting the kill switch... Tony found it... And the bridge to Newport was like a magic carpet ride... almost no traffic, I coulda gone 80, if I wanted ( not that I would ever go 80....) Beautiful day for a beautiful ride, and for seeing old friends, thanks everyone who showed up!

Thanks for putting the ride on great time. Great seeing everyone. Nice ride back with Rich, Al, and Raybo. Knowing the Valk doesn't have the greatest in fuel range I ask Rich at a red light if he needed gas, he responded honestly, I don't know. Next red light he ran out, LOL. Good thing there is a reserve.

Thanks Rick for organizing this ride. I had a great time seeing old friends and riding the beautiful roads of coastal RI. Only the second time I've been to Beavertail. Beautiful place. I've got to take Sherry. She'd love it. Karen, all of us at least once have forgotten to disengage the kill switch so that the ignition switch will work. No biggie. Rich, the trip odometer on the Valkyrie is your fuel gauge. When you fill up, zero the trip odometer. Start looking for gas when the odometer reads 140 miles. Shortly thereafter, you're likely to hit reserve. Even sooner if you doing all highway. Thanks to Ray for taking the pic below! Good times!

Thank you Rick for this ride. Good time as always. Life gets so busy sometimes that I almost need a good reason to ride.... hanging with great friends and riding a Valkyrie is good enough reason.... I filled up the gas tank and set the trip odometer before I met Gary at Walmart in Whitinsville. This was the longest ride I put on the valkyrie since I've owned it and I wasn't sure when the reserve would hit.. At 159 miles the bike shut off. I know now to look for gas around 130-140 miles. Thanks Tony. There's something about riding that Valkyrie that is very special. I think it's a combination of things that just feel right. I have other bikes that are faster, brake better and have all the electronics, but this one makes me smile every time..... looking forward to the next ride. ><>
