Not that I like Trudeau, I don't think I do.
He isn't the only one to have played something in black face decades ago that was labeled a racist. I think everyone has apologized for doing it. I wonder why. Playing in black face was a common thing at one time and doing it in a play long ago to my mind doesn't make anyone a racist.
But, I guess calling folks racists is the thing to do today. Maybe this makes me a racist to some.

Ok - normally I do not always see eye to eye on many things politcal with alot of you.
That doesn't mean I dislike you personally - only that I don't always agree with you on political subjects.
However - there are things I do agree with you on - and condemning someone for something they back in college 10,20, 30, even 40 years ago is one of those. Most of us somewhere along the way did some things that you aren't too proud about. However, you learned along the way and have modified your behavior - IOW, you grew up. And if you have "grown up / matured " in this manner, good for you - but I'm not going to condemn you for doing something when you "were young and dumb". I've had some of my own - I no longer get drunk and go driving anymore - in fact - you will never see me indulging in alcoholic adult beverages and then go riding a motorcycle - one of those examples of learning from "mistakes" made in the past.
But this political crap on bringing up "young and dumb" misdeeds needs to cease - immediately. If that is the standard we are going to hold people to who are running for office - nobody should run.

Our future political leaders will be born on this island and raised to be political leaders.
They will be raised in cages. Monitored 24/7. ANY deviation from the proscribed training and protocol...instant death.
Genetically modified, politically correct, these future leaders will know all the current high polling issues.
When they achieve the proper Constitutional age, they will be assigned to a political post. Once assigned, the citizens will vote for them.

Whether or not he was being deliberately racist at the time is really about the state of his heart, which I can only speculate on. What I can conclude is that he shows a history of poor judgement when it comes to such things, and is also strongly influenced by his need to be the centre of attention. This has continued into his days as Prime Minister. By the time I was in college, I was certainly aware that blackface was highly offensive to many people. Justin is the son of a Prime Minister, growing up in the world of politics, and should certainly be better educated about such things than most people. The first picture to come to light was taken when he was a 29-year-old school teacher (not a fresh-faced college student), at a school party with students, parents, and other teachers present. By all reports, his costume was above and beyond all others at the event.
