Bill would cap ethanol in nation's fuel supply
Tell your representative to support H.R. 2540 today

H.R. 2540, the bipartisan Food and Fuel Consumer Protection Act of 2019, introduced by U.S. Reps. Bill Flores (R-TX) and Peter Welch (D-VT), would cap the volume of ethanol blended into the nation’s fuel supply at 9.7 percent of the total volume of gasoline. The American Motorcyclist Association supports this bill and other efforts to reform the Renewable Fuel Standard.

This bill would stop the federal government from forcing E15 fuel (15 percent ethanol by volume) into the market. Capping the ethanol mandate helps ensure the availability of safe fuels, such as E10, and a continuing place in the market for ethanol-free gasoline (E0) for older motorcycles.

The AMA, along with other partners on Capitol Hill dedicated to protecting consumers adversely affected by E15, is working to generate more support for this bill and others at a time when E15 is set to become more available throughout the country, thanks to rule changes by the Environmental Protection Agency that allow its sale year round.

None of the estimated 22 million motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles in use in the United States is certified by the EPA to operate on fuel containing more than 10 percent ethanol. Inadvertent use of E15 in vehicles not designed for its use can damage fuel system and engine components and void manufacturer’s warranties.

Tell your representative to support H.R. 2540 by sending a prewritten message by completing the form below.

Typical.

While I want to see all corn in gas gone completely (and forever), now I have to beg to keep it at 10%.

Streets Clogged with uninformed and indoctrinated child climate change activists in DC is more important to main stream news than the concerns of those who own cars, motorcycles and atv's  that WILL be damaged by 15% ethanol. An angry 16 year old Swedish Climate Activist Berating anyone who does not agree with her nonsense, is money making click-bait opportunism. Our concerns come dead last compared to that...even worse...concern for the mental health of all these abused children who are being told that our extinction is 12 years away, might be even further that dead last.

UN 2030 Agenda is 11-12 yrs away now. this is where they get that from, not really end of world, but end of the present world system.  it was put into effect in 2015.
http://endoftheamericandream.com/archives/the-2030-agenda-this-month-the-un-launches-a-blueprint-for-a-new-world-order-with-the-help-of-the-pope

https://www.naturalnews.com/051058_2030_Agenda_United_Nations_global_enslavement.html
Total enslavement of the planet by 2030
As the UN document says, "We commit ourselves to working tirelessly for the full implementation of this Agenda by 2030."

If you read the full document and can read beyond the fluffery and public relations phrases, you'll quickly realize that this UN agenda is going to be forced upon all the citizens of the world through the invocation of government coercion. Nowhere does this document state that the rights of the individual will be protected. Nor does it even acknowledge the existence of human rights granted to individuals by the Creator. Even the so-called "Universal Declaration of Human Rights" utterly denies individuals the right to self defense, the right to medical choice and the right to parental control over their own children.

The UN is planning nothing less than a global government tyranny that enslaves all of humanity while calling the scheme "sustainable development" and "equality."

1984 has finally arrived. And of course it's all being rolled out under the fraudulent label of "progress."

Goal 7) Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all

Translation: Penalize coal, gas and oil while pushing doomed-to-fail "green" energy subsidies to brain-dead startups headed by friends of the White House who all go bankrupt in five years or less. The green startups make for impressive speeches and media coverage, but because these companies are led by corrupt idiots rather than capable entrepreneurs, they always go broke. (And the media hopes you don't remember all the fanfare surrounding their original launch.)

Goal 12) Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns

Translation: Begin levying punitive taxes on the consumption of fossil fuels and electricity, forcing people to live under conditions of worsening standards of living that increasingly resemble Third World conditions. Use social influence campaigns in TV, movies and social media to shame people who use gasoline, water or electricity, establishing a social construct of ninnies and tattlers who rat out their neighbors in exchange for food credit rewards.

Goal 13) Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts

Translation: Set energy consumption quotas on each human being and start punishing or even criminalizing "lifestyle decisions" that exceed energy usage limits set by governments. Institute total surveillance of individuals in order to track and calculate their energy consumption. Penalize private vehicle ownership and force the masses onto public transit, where TSA grunts and facial recognition cameras can monitor and record the movement of every person in society, like a scene ripped right out of Minority Report.

So typical of our congress. They know ethanol doesn't work as intended and of the additional cost as well as reduced fuel mileage. Seems like they should realize corn belongs in the food supply not the fuel supply.

due to the EPA making up things to keep their jobs. EPA does not answer to congress, the senate or the President. The dept was made to be that way by nixon adminstration, and only dept I know that answers to no one.   since OBA II the cars are somewhat air filters for the ambient air, the exhaust is cleaner than the intake air in cities, from what i read yrs ago and had a volvo executive confirm this, even more so today with in cabin filters, think about it.

Yep. Nixon had a good idea [ liberals don't want to believe EPA was Nixon's baby], but as anything federal government it has become a nightmare therefore too powerful.  Its OBD II .
