Need a favor. Would like to order an item from your online store but I'm not a member.

I've been told that it is against club rules for a member to buy from the IBA online store for others. I don't want anyone breaking any rules. Was just hoping to purchase a widder heated vest seeing that they are not available else where.

Hey Mac my suggestion would be to go with Gerbing I've known of two that had Widder and both failed while out on very cold days... We have a Gerbing dealer just up the road from my house " Dixie Cycle " and just like many things in life you may save a few buck$ with Widder however you get what you pay for. I've had the Gerbing brand for years now ....Start off with the jacket-liner and gloves and you will be a happy camper on cold rides.Gerbing also has a guarantee not sure about the other mfg....I'm thinking someone said Widder went out of business but it might have been another brand that made heated clothes  Undecided

I have the Gerbings jacket liner (microwire) that I receive the week before our Shiloh Ride and it has shorted out. Had a nice red squire on my belly where the pdu connector is mounted. I'm having to send it back to the company and was told it might be 4 to 6 weeks before it is returned. I spent over $500.00 for the jacket, boot insoles, gloves and controller. Just was hoping to buy a backup vest till it is returned. I had a widder vest for over 8 years and it was working fine just out grew it. I realize anything can break down but can't go that long without riding. I ride my bike to work and back most days if it isn't raining. The widder vest (on the iba site) sells for half the price of others.

Thanks for the feed back. I went ahead and ordered a Tourmaster Synergy Heated Vest thru Motorcycle Superstore. Did not want to wait for a bid on ebay. Will be sending my gerbings jacket liner back tomorrow for repair.

I figured it wouldn't work. You know how it goes, waiting to win the bid and at the last minute someone steals it for .05 more then you bid and the time is wasted. Hope the Tourmaster works for you. Have read GREAT things about they're vest, just not so great things about they're gloves.
