Hi guys, I hope everyone is doing well!?!
My buddy and I didn't have enough from the last ride, so we decided to go for a quick rip down to Oregon last weekend.
We met in Surrey Saturday morning at 7am and rode South towards the border crossing. No traffic at all and we were over the border within 5 minutes. Then we just followed the I5 and took the Anacortes exit and got to Deception Pass.

We went on from there and took the ferry from Fort Casey to Port Townsend. A 35 minute ride on the ferry for USD 6.40.

We rode on to Port Angeles for a quick lunch break and then just kept following the 101 until we hit the beach! What a view!!!

After the little break for a cold one and to soak in the view we kept going all the way until we got down to the Astoria Bridge, which is also the border between Washington and Oregon. And what a timing we had, we got there just in time for a spectacular sunset!

Then over Astoria Bridge... we wanted to stay in Astoria for the night, but everything was booked. They had Brewfest going on...

We decided to keep riding to Seaside and check for a room there. We got the last room in the city after a 3hrs search, just crazy! We thought everybody would be back to school and work, but nope.... seems like everybody was in Seaside for the weekend. We had some cold ones and a good dinner, then off for a good sleep.
Over night the weather had changed and it was wet and cold. So we changed our plan going down to Lincoln City and went to Portland directly, in the hopes to not hit the rain clouds we saw. Well, that didn't work out so well and we got soaked!

We kept riding to Portland and then stopped for a breakfast and to warm up again. It was 8 degrees celsius and of course I put my rain gear on too late again, as always. One day I'll know how to do better

After being fed and warm again we hit the I5 all the way to Canada again. Shortly after Seattle it cleared up and we took the rain gear off.
All in all it was a great little over night getaway. Not so many twisties though. Some parts of the 101 felt like a German Autobahn and the bikes just wanted to go fast. Probably not a route I'd do again, but we were both curious to check it out.

Have a great day and cheers,
Christian
