Haven't been following reservation thing for a while, and the other thread is too many pages and too many posts to make sense of.  Is there any news on room reservations.  I know we are going through the VRCC, but is there info on when this will happen?

Great!  Just don't want to miss the opportunity to stay at ground zero.   Smiley

Gary, this is a very classy place that we'll be using.  Negotiations were tense to say the least, but one thing they were very specific about is where they put the New Yorkers.    Grin

Be safe.  We look forward to seeing you in Michigan.

Incidentally, another nice path to get there would take you into Canada at Cornwallis and into Michigan at Sault Ste. Marie.

I wouldn't cross at Cornwall - they have an ongoing dispute at this crossing   http://www.vancouversun.com/news/Moving+Canadian+border+post+still+option+union/2295248/story.html

The dispute started last June (just in time for the folks heading to Americade) and caused that crossing to temporarily close.

Another thing to consider would be the route to Sault Ste. Marie - it would put them coming across Hwy 401. This is a very busy (and boring) ride - goes through the top end of Toronto.

Have you looked at crossing at Niagara Falls as planned and then winding your way over to just south of Sarnia and crossing at the Sombra-Marine City Ferry? Ron and I used this route when we ran into a 3 hour delay at the Sarnia bridge.
