It occurred to me after reading a few posts lately that while we went several weeks to a few months without expressing any political views or observations that no ones positions have changed. Trump is bad and the Democrats are trying to save the republic from total destruction. The Republicans are playing catch up as best they can but I’ve decided they just aren’t devious enough to overcome the onslaught of spin that the left has in their inventory.

And while a love a good back and forth debate, as a newly minted Republican I must admit I just can’t match wits with Meathead and baldo among a few others, it just to tiresome and unfulfilling. So I’m going back to
reading and biting my tongue or keyboard as it were and leave the posting to those with more stamina than I.

Matching wits?  That my friend is totally in the perspective of the reader.   IMHO, you have been doing fine and actually scored several times but, that's my perspective.

Referencing you biting your tongue and only reading the posts.   If I was a bookie, I'd be taking bets on that one.  Wink   Seriously, some things you just can't let slide.   You'll be back, just take a break and get your wind back.  Cheesy

That's exactly what I've been doing. Been doing alot of head shaking, not much typing.

And John, you do fine. Your posts are always worth reading. Not true with others.

Ron, I didn't know we were keeping 'score'.

Matching wits ? I don't recall even responding to a post of yours for a couple weeks. My wit is in short supply to begin with. You make it sound like Baldo and I are on here just bashing away. I think you should go back and review the posts. I'd venture to say 97.6 % of them are conservative. By my count that puts me at 2.3 % of the liberal responses, and Bob at .1%. As a matter of fact, I can't remember the last time I started a political post.

The current and ongoing political battles are like a merry-go-round.

It never stops, and you never get anywhere, and the same view over the years just gets boring as hell.

I have turned the news off entirely (on the TV), though I read daily.

I remain as committed to conservative politics and philosophy as ever.  And view liberal socialism, it's proponents and all it has brought us as a festering disease upon my country (and the planet).

The division in our country seems nearly complete (though with media's constant finger on the scales, that may not be true, yet).  It seems the daily battle is necessary just to not lose any more ground.

I am happy to discuss any particular events or controversies, and many of our past political discussions have been interesting and informative.   But I'm not interested in arguing with idiots about it.

I feel the same way, Jess.  Unfortunately I tend to assess those with whom I disagree quickly into the idiot category.   Smiley   It's difficult arguing against people with whom I agree.

You know, Trump should just jump on the bandwagon and state that he now identifies as a woman.
That will make him/her the first Female President.
It will also make him the first Transgender President.
Since he/she is married to Melania that will also make him/her the first openly gay, lesbian, married President.
He/she is also married to an Immigrant.
The Liberal heads would explode.

At this point in our country I dont believe its about the president anymore. What it really boils down to is the political maneuvers going on and what is being accomplished in the mean time. It really seems the effort to remove or diminish a sitting president has become the main focus of at least one party. No longer is it a party or congress meant to address the situations in our country.

I really have to ask, WHY?

So really at this point without the forward movement of congress making legislation under a president that gives guidance there is nothing to argue about in reference to the president.

Congress has officially become useless to making policy for the people.

And time will tell if Trump was a good president with the policies and procedures he set in place without congress. But it will be interesting to see where this all will end up. Almost like watching an accident happening.

As much as I despise political discussion I can't look away from what's happening in the country.

The globalist/communist dems are making a full court press along with their media partners, trying for a power grab they desperately want (but can't win at the ballot box) and thought was in in the palm of their hands until DJT spoiled the party.

Never has the voters choice been easier in an election.. the dem party has abandoned capitalism. The very trough at which the pigs feed..

I fear the Republic is already lost unless conservatives take off the gloves and give these would be tyrants the bare knuckle beatdown they deserve.

the democrats are Fifth Column members of the UN Globalists.  Their current agenda is UN 2030 Agenda

https://www.naturalnews.com/051058_2030_Agenda_United_Nations_global_enslavement.html

That article references this UN "2030 Agenda" document that pushes a blueprint for so-called "sustainable development" around the world.

This document describes nothing less than a global government takeover of every nation across the planet. The "goals" of this document are nothing more than code words for a corporate-government fascist agenda that will imprison humanity in a devastating cycle of poverty while enriching the world's most powerful globalist corporations like Monsanto now owned by Bayer and DuPont.

In the interests of helping wake up humanity, I've decided to translate the 17 points of this 2030 agenda so that readers everywhere can understand what this document is really calling for. To perform this translation, you have to understand how globalists disguise their monopolistic agendas in "feel good" language.

Here's the point-by-point translation. Notice carefully that nowhere does this document state that "achieving human freedom" is one of its goals. Nor does it explain HOW these goals are to be achieved. As you'll see here, every single point in this UN agenda is to be achieved through centralized government control and totalitarian mandates that resemble communism.

Translation of the UN's "2030 Agenda blueprint for globalist government" (controlled by corporate interests)

 there are 17 goals listed.

Total enslavement of the planet by 2030
As the UN document says, "We commit ourselves to working tirelessly for the full implementation of this Agenda by 2030."

If you read the full document and can read beyond the fluffery and public relations phrases, you'll quickly realize that this UN agenda is going to be forced upon all the citizens of the world through the invocation of government coercion. Nowhere does this document state that the rights of the individual will be protected. Nor does it even acknowledge the existence of human rights granted to individuals by the Creator. Even the so-called "Universal Declaration of Human Rights" utterly denies individuals the right to self defense, the right to medical choice and the right to parental control over their own children.

The UN is planning nothing less than a global government tyranny that enslaves all of humanity while calling the scheme "sustainable development" and "equality."
